Eagles might lose their shot at a no 1 seed this week and have little to play for in week 18. That could be interesting.
Well if Detroit wins tonight against the Niners then basically the Eagles won’t have a chance at the number 1 seed.

100 yards in a game isn’t easy.It will be interesting,especially if the
Niners win tonight. There should be an opening. Not sure what the tie breaks are.

I guess that’s what should make it fun. PLUS hearing how THE RAMS CLINCHED The NFC West & Reat-Boy is Out !!

So, he’s at 2,005yds… he needs 101 to break it against the Giants at home Sunday 12pm.

According to playoff calculator the Eagles are locked in to the #2 seed.

Do they risk playing Barkley in a meaningless game?

If Barkley wants to break it (and who wouldn't?) and doesn't care he's risking the postseason by playing (what star athlete doesn't believe he won't be injured?) AND it was left up to Siriani, I believe he's playing. The guy is an idiot who reflects Eagle fans like a mirror. It might be too much to resist, endearing him further to Eagle fans, playing Barkley to get the record vs the Giants, unless something goes wrong. Then he's a confirmed idiot and is run out of town after they get knocked out of the postseason. I gotta believe Rosen will have a say (the common sense view).

It’s up to Barkley but I believe it will be on a pitch count (20 carries?). It’s not only the record but against the team that wouldn’t pay another $1m to keep him.

They'll play him and I don't blame them. You can't sit a player that is on the verge of breaking that kind of record. I don't think the rest of the team would settle for that either. If they are truly a team, they will definitely want that for their running back.

They really need to have different records for # of games played. Simpson has the 14 game record, ED has and will forever keep the 16 game record. I mean, what are we even doing here?

The NFL is 100% going to an 18 game schedule, and my guess would be that it happens within 5 years. How can we even credit a player with a record if they get 1/4 additional season to break one from the 14 game era???

And yes, same goes for Puka and his rookie record.

I’ll believe it when I see it. He could get 100 in the 1st quarter against the Giants

I think they will and my tin foil hat says it’s an indicator that Hurts has a very serious concussion and may miss some or all of the playoffs. I mean Tua was at least at the games cheering his guys on. Unless I missed it, Hurts isn’t around and that’s a bad sign.

You’ve got Kenny Pickett getting pain injections in his ribs (ask Tyron Taylor about the risks of that) and a rookie 3rd string backup… if Hurts was gonna be ready and 100% back, maybe they do like we did with Puka and just play him until he gets the record… against the Giants, what’s that? Like two series?

But it’s a division game and no matter how much a team sucks (unless it’s the AFC East) they’ll be able to get their licks in.

Between Philly maybe not having Hurts and Detroit having such issues on Defense, seems either us or the Vikings are strong possibilities for the Super Bowl.

If they weren't a legit NFC contender for the SB, then they should play him.
But risking him for a record that he isn't guaranteed to make would have been foolish.

Thing is, if the Rams gave up a mere 150 yards to this guy we would never have to worry about EDs record going down.
But we got smoked for 255. The Eagles have been our worst match up for several years now.
