I'm sure the Eagles offered him a very team friendly deal.

As far as people complaining about Bradford threads. It's funny how the same people complaining are the ones who were saying they hope he sucks for the Eagles. Since he has looked good up to this point, they don't want to see or hear anything about him. But dollars to donuts says that as soon as he starts to struggle or gets injured, they'll be the first to start a thread about him, or pile on in existing ones.

You know what? I do hope he sucks. But it's not because I hate him. I hope he sucks because that'll mean that the second round draft pick we'll get from them will be a high pick. I hope he sucks because the Rams need him to suck for us to get a top player with that draft pick (because I guarantee you that we will be picking #31 overall this year (remember that the Cheatriots have no first round draft pick this year), and I want the #32 overall pick as well.

I don't want him to suck because I hate the guy. I couldn't care less about Bradford, except for the fact that we traded him for Nick Foles, Andrew Donnal, and a future second round pick. That's the only reason I care. I don't complain about Bradford threads.

You weren't complaining, so I don't know why you took issue with my post.

That was my first thought...He's starting to look a bit greedy...After all, he's already made well in excess of $100,000,000...That's a REAL healthy chunk of change...He can already choose which half of Oklahoma he wants to buy...Another obscene contract would allow him to buy the other half...He could get Trump to build a fence and make Texas pay for it...

Actually he signed a contract that had a total value of 86MIL. So after this year he may have earned a lot of that but I'd bet that the salary and bonuses are different based on playing time and such.

Even if he got all 86MIL guaranteed (which would be the only contract in the NFL like that) he actually only pockets about 42-43% of it after Federal, state and local taxes, social security, and his agent.

Now Sam doesn't strike me as the kinda guy with a big posse to hold up, so in the wallet he's fine I'm guessing.

My mind failed me then..I thought he got 105...As you said, being a fairly frugal guy (from what I've gathered) he and his family should be set for several generations...Of course 9,743 "relatives" will have suddenly appeared seemingly out of nowhere over the next several years...I'm checking genealogy reference material as we speak...After all, my Mom was born in Muskogee, OK...That puts me ahead of most people already...

He and I and my dog were born on the same day. Can I cash in on that?
