The Ravens played awful and yet we still couldn't beat them, finding every way possible to lose. They conceded a safety. They lost the turnover battle. How many times were their receivers open deep, only for Lamar to miss them? Jackson was very poor and we still couldn't hold them to a reasonable point total.
McVay had some nice calls, but on the whole, was poor IMO. He seemed to save his worst for every time you needed his best. When the offense was putting drives together, it mostly seemed to be Stafford working magic, rather than anything schematic. Every clutch situation late in 4th quarter, and in OT, he seemed to fall on his face. Poor timeout usage yet again. But when we actually needed a timeout in OT to not get a delay of game call, or with time ticking in the 4th Q to maybe steal the win, he cannot get a timeout in on time?
Punter cannot hold onto the ball.
Big drop by Puka.
Weak effort on the 2 point conversion that ended up being costly. You need a money play there. Is that really our best play?
The secondary was poor, but I don't know if that is really rant worthy. They just aren't good. We knew that going into the season. Hopefully, we can upgrade in the secondary next year.
The refs missed a million holds on Donald and our other defensive lineman, but I don't think the Rams had a single holding call against them all day either? And Baltimore has some dudes that can rush. I suspect they just opted to let them play and that was that.
Easily the most frustrating game of the year. Cincy was up there but this is a game we NEEDED, not an early season contest.
