I'm getting the same vibe as ramfidelis, to be honest. We need to be careful with this... We are in position for top talent. The 2nd best. Perhaps the best college talent. How many more years do we want this opportunity?

I want picks... But not for the sake of picks. I want the best players possible. That might mean picking at 2 and 13 without trade down.

I am glad we got smart people in charge to figure this out.

Well I'd guess that would depend on how you view both the 1st, 2nd and even the 3rd rounds of drafts and your trust in Snisher picking good players. No pick is completely safe. There have been some sure things just recently that didn't turn out to be sure like Dorsey and that OLB whose name escapes me at the moment. I didn't have questions about Dorsey and I do have questions about both Matthews and Clowney. Especially Clowney.

I can only go with the percentages and the percentages say that you have a good chance to get good players in the first three rounds with the percentages increasing as you get closer to the first pick. With that in mind, I expect to get a good player with every pick in the first three rounds. If we have 4 picks then we'll get 4 good players and if we have 6 picks we'll get 6 good players. That's not to mention that the more picks you have the less damage is done by one bad pick.

It's a crap shoot so you take your chances. I like the odds better with more picks. Plus we have so many holes to fill which is a huge part of the equation IMO.

I said the same thing in another thread but there are possibilities, realistic ones, where we get more that I'm hoping for.

Agree completely with this. By the type the draft comes around, there'll be plenty of players who will have been hyped up as the next big thing.

And let's not forget that the draft is later this year, so there's an extra fortnight of hype time for the media.

If Snead gets no legit offers the world does not end .... its a real bad thing to be saddled with a select DE Jadeveon Clowney or OT Jake Mathews with our second overall pick just the worst thing... Then turn around & select again @ #13 in the first round yep just terrible.

You don't think that the Atlanta Falcons sitting there @ #6 have a serious desire for a pass rusher like Jadeveon how many sacks did the Falcons have last yr about the same as Quinn did? What about Lovie in Tampa Bay who also have a serious lacking DE.Don't you think that the Browns @ #4 want to find a serious way to select ahead of the Jags @ #3 for that second top QB? Snead will get good value in his trade downs maybe several seconds & a third & still get a top talent like CB Dennard, WR Sammy Watkins or OT Greg Robinson with our first pick too.

The sky is the limit. I see the Rams ending up turning their two first rounders into a half dozen high picks easily if they choose to go that way. There will be teams lined up for that #2 pick, more so than were bidding for RG3. Now will Fisher and Snead cash in on the deals or stand pat? And I think GMs have a short memory when it comes to past deals. The RG3 deal will have no effect on this year's deals except maybe for the Redskins' brass.:lol:
