Jackson is legit. Is Meinerz better? Of course, but Jackson is a guy who stonewalled almost everyone the SEC threw at him. I think the only guy who got the better of him was Quinnen Williams. He’s not going to wow you with athleticism, but he’s extremely cerebral and stout at the point of attack.
You’re also getting Jackson around the 4th round rather than 2nd for Meinerz.

We are just a Watson trade to SF from locking up our 4th spot in the NFC West.
So the Rams have taken a step back?
Rams have likely improved, and possibly significantly at the most important position.
Have the Rams taken a significant step back anywhere (I know that JJIII is gone).

That’s also true, but I highly doubt that we get him or a certain wide receiver that is my prospect crush this year with our compensatory fourth. We’ll likely need to either trade down or up.

If we’re running a power system, sure, but I’m very concerned about his overall athleticism; he simply can’t move to the second level. He’d make an excellent guard for a power scheme, though.
He's got some skills there I think he just needs to be coached up for it. It won't be perfect to start but I think he can work into the system.

S maybe.
But I do like our young safeties.

Remember this move when Arizona wins the division next year.

Niners and Zona are strengthening their offensives significantly while the Rams are trying to find ways to get under the cap due to ignorant impulsive moves.

We didn't have a snowballs chance in hell last year before the season started. Ranked to finish 4th in the basement of the west. Yet, Rams make it all the way to Greenbay in the Playoffs. This team will rally around AD, Ramsey and Stafford and play good football! This is going to be a great year!:horns:

@Memento you mentioned “if we run a power blocking scheme”.

I’ve read that his familiarity with McVay in Washington is part of Carberry was brought in and that he is perfectly cabable to run the wide zone blocking scheme.

But I’ve seen others mention a change of scheme to. Did I miss something along the way? Or is it just assumptions?
