If we're going to keep running the zone, we could get a look at Rhaney too. He can throw some mean cut blocks and get down field. At least then, maybe someone can cut the backside off when we run left.
He did look good at RG in the preseason. He was on the right side, not the left, wasn't he?

Next man up. Reynolds is good, and I think he will be just fine. Fisher alluded to his presence in the huddle last Sunday helping calm down the rest of the O-Line. My concern is with G-Rob. I love the guy, buy he has been shaky and not sure he will ever be a great LT. As I mentioned in another thread, I think he should be playing guard because he appears to have a real hard time blocking "in space." It's easier playing a guard position than at tackle. IMO, he looks lost when it comes to pass pro, and has a tendency to lock onto a guy leaving the edge exposed rather than pass him off to Brown. I noticed more than once in the game last week. Yes, I know this is only year two, and he's still a project, but he needs to start showing more consistency. I hope they can clean stuff up, or Foles is going to get killed.

With Robinson's struggles at left tackle, would I be off base thinking maybe moving him to left guard and Reynolds to left tackle might be a better move?

Eh... probably not a great idea, you go from one point of discontinuity on the line to two, and it's a very young line.

Oh god no. Reynolds struggles at RT, I can't imagine him at LT.

I was begging the Rams to sign a veteran guard or trade for one . The o-line is going to cost the Rams a possible play off spot .

Saffold was the worst guard of 79 qualifiers according to PFF. so I wouldn't worry

I feel for the guy, he puts his work in and goes out and plays. Just a guess from watching him that his shoulder hasn't been right all season.
Worst part from a team aspect is he was the was the backup LT on game day actives. Williams has to dress now, which might be a good thing.

Rams have lots of options at G. And this very well might be RS's last year as a Ram.

As a fan i've always had no patience for players(including the good ones) who are consistently nicked up or can't take the pounding that is the NFL. I understand guys get hurt, but i'm talking about players who aren't old...names like Donnie Avery, Rodger Saffold, Danny Amendola, Percy Harvin etc...
Brandon Gibson was JAG but he was reliable. Joe Barksdale was JAG but he was reliable. This mentality of retaining and giving pay days to injury-prone, talented players is something i would not succumb to as an NFL GM or HC.

The NBA is even worse.

Par for the course with Saffold.

Should have drafted his replacement awhile ago. Great talent. Can't stay on the field to save his life.

Injured again..............

Well this sucks.

Lets just hope that its the unexpected catalyst to finding our diamond in the rough on our bench. The Trent Green injury for our O Line. Maybe it causes a complete shakeup shuffling guys around - or maybe we just plug in a RG and go.

As I said, I'm hoping its Wichmann time.

An observation. Saffold had the first 19 plays. Reynolds the next 52.

Our offense:

First 19 snaps
Rushing: 8 for 24 yards (3.0 per rush)
Passing: 2-10-2 27 yards (2.7 per attempt), 1 sack

Last 52 snaps
Rushing: 28 for 167 yards (6.0 per rush)
Passing: 9-20-2 114 yards (5.7 per attempt), 2 sacks

Pat-cheatriots lost their steady LT-Solder for the season now, if they can overcome that with just their plug in play then we should be OK with Reynolds at RG for a few weeks or the rest of the season.
