Probably gonna be Stetson Bennett if I was guessing right now. Maybe some Corum, Whittington, Tutu and lot of Davis Allen for some reason. As far as defense, who knows. A lot of Brendan Jackson and Tyler Davis. Forbes, McMullough and John Johnson in the secondary. Downright scary thoughts if they're playing against ones all game.
Yeah, we're doomed playing back ups against a team that hates us. I wanted 11 wins in the worst way and will complain if we come out flat. in the playoffs. Everyone just wants to win, whichever way McVay thinks best.

Well, McVay confirmed it. They’re resting the majority of starters.
Nice. Got a bet in on the Hags at -3 just in time. Line is already at Hags -5.5.

Yeah, I know it's bad form to root against the good guys, but I had a feeling McVay was going to treat this as a preseason game.

Notion? Its the right thing to do.
They'll get the reps they need in practice and get healthy
I think you're right. Offense hasn't been right since the Bills game and to the extent resting them will disrupt continuity, that's probably a good thing. Let them come back healthy, refreshed and ready to roll.

Not only would I rest starters, I would forfeit the game and tell the NFL, advertisers, ticket holders and everyone else to deal with it, since I am not risking injury to my players in a completely meaningless game that will essentially be a big farce anyways.

Wouldn't call being a 3 seed and having a higher chance to host a 2nd playoff game meaningless.

We were garbage before our bye.
With that time off to refresh and reexamine, we came back an went 9-2. So time off can help this team.

This is not the 2017 Rams and resting our starters isn't why Pharoh Cooper muffed that game away.

W aren't the 2021 Rams either but Stafford has shown over and over the ability to bounce back from multi-game slumps to come out red-hot and dominate for a month at a time. He's right on schedule there and he's doesn't need games to "get something going". He just needs to be ready to go and he needs some protection. That's our best chance for anything meaningful in the postseason.
If Stafford is on and the Oline is healthy, we can beat anyone. If either aren't, we aren't doing anything anyways.

So refund fans with season tickets?

it is funny how people lament resting starters in a game leads to rust.

Yet everyone longs for the bye week for people to recover.

I understand the feelings but make no doubt about it - clinching like this is an advantage

After a long NFL season getting a chance to rest for a week has to be much more helpful than harmful.

Having a two week bye is different. That is what a #1 seed Like KC has to consider.

Hell yea, I would rather get money back and guarantee my team health for the playoffs then sit in traffic, overpay for beer and watch a bunch of backups play a conservative game in which burning clock is the priority.

If we are the 3 seed and Philly wins in the wildcard round, then we are playing Philly in Divisional round.

I'd rather give them two weeks to get upset and or banged up before we face them.

I'm ok with that. I'm not one to worry about who we play. I get most that are concerned worry about Philly the most. I say fuck them and every team in the playoffs. If we gotta play em, we gotta play em, simple as that. If we deserve to be champs, we eventually have to earn it.
