Yes of course. This team is done if they lose an OT, Stafford, Nacua, etc. We have no room for error.

And if they lose it might work in their favor in focusing everyone. These boys are tougher coming off a loss.
We're also done if they don't get their shit together. Will rest help that or will more reps in a game against a team that isn't going to throw in the towel.

This! I feel the odds of them not having their shit together are higher than them losing a vital player to injury.

99% of the time I'd vote yes, but given how the offense has played the last three weeks it sure would nice to get something good going into the playoffs. But I'm sure we're gonna see the second string and Jimmy G starting.

IDK, the OL without Havenstein has struggled all year. Big Rob needs to be ready for post season and I would rest everyone with hope they will respond in a big way come playoff time.

Who is not healthy besides Hav? Wasn't the last injury list cleaner than it's been since 2015 or something?
Is this a serious question? They will all get a bit healthier without playing a meaningless game. They are all banged up at this point of the year.

Probably gonna be Stetson Bennett if I was guessing right now. Maybe some Corum, Whittington, Tutu and lot of Davis Allen for some reason. As far as defense, who knows. A lot of Brendan Jackson and Tyler Davis. Forbes, McMullough and John Johnson in the secondary. Downright scary thoughts if they're playing against ones all game.

It will only be Bennett if Garoppolo goes down

I understood it as you talking about actual injuries versus being banged up. The clarification is good.

It seems I'm in the minority but my opinion is that more live reps would be more beneficial than recovering from normal wear and tear. I would rest those who have actual injuries that would keep them from playing...such as Hav.

Mcvays has already gone on record and said yes he's going to rest the starters. I'm sure there will be a couple starters on the field as we don't have enough backups to fully field a team.

Resting Hav puts Stafford at higher risk. Live game reps at this stage of the game are meaningless. They wont want anything on tape for teams to prepare for. Practice reps will get them prepared for the playoff game much more

Not much nuance in this poll. Would I rest some starters? Yes. Would I rest all starters? No.

I'd sit three: Stafford, Kupp, and Hav. And of course any others who are battling injuries that we may not be aware of.

The rest are young legs who could use the reps to get kinks out (offense) or continued development (defense).
I agree with this. Hav, Kupp, Staff are for sure resting. Kyren should get a carry to get past 1300 yards, Puka should get a catch to get past 1000 yards. I've got no problem seeing a lot more Whittington, Corum, and Tutu in this game. Problem is, if the hags play starters, we are not going to do much and head into the playoffs after getting smacked by a team who thinks they should be the ones in the playoffs. It will leave a nasty taste in the mouth.
Well, McVay confirmed it. They’re resting the majority of starters.
I hadn't seen this. Press conference? Source?

Rest em watch film on washington tweek offense then I have no dought in you
If we rest starters and lose, we won't be playing Washington. We will be playing the loser of Lions/Vikes. A FAR harder opponent IMO. Also, with a loss we risk not hosting in 2nd round and beyond.

Make no mistake, there are major advantages to winning this game and personally, I probably play starters for at least a half. Our offense has been anemic. Could that be due to needing rest though? Possibly, but a win is very advantageous to us going forward.

I think some starters need the rest, to be at their best for a playoff run. OTOH, resting too many puts playoff position in jeopardy... and resting too many, as we have seen before, can result in the team being flat for the next meaningful game. This offense needs no excuse to come out flat.

I'd like to see Stafford play a drive or two - but otherwise, I think he needs rest along with KW, Puka, Kupp and Noteboom. :zany1:

Lets get ready to RUMBLE !!!

I honestly Would change it up a bit. Maybe mix in Starters and backups in units.

Puka, JW, Tutu, Kyren, Parkinson, Stafford Q1-Q2
Kupp,Drob,Johnson, Corum, Higs, JimmyG Q3-Q4

Dont have full rest, but dont play a full game. Rest Hav if he cant go.

Defense is in a groove. Dont fuck with it.

Still play to win, as it could make or break a possible 2nd game at Sofi. It will also decide if we are seed 3 or 4.

Seed 3 will play WAS/GB depending on if either lose, if Both Win, Was will face Us as #6. GB will face Eagles #7

Seed 4 will play loser of Viks/Lions Game. This will be us if we lose vs Sea and TB wins thier game.

Good News is all the other games are played Early.

I think rest does help, yes. Because our offense has produced when they have their best 5 OL on the field. Our depth has played like horse shit. So sit the starting OTs at a minimum. Jackson could use snaps at Center too.

The OL should be...

LT Noteboom
LG Dedich
C McMahon
RG Jackson
RT McClendon

Rest them all
