So I planned to divide the GMs into three groups and divide the teams into three groups and I'll pick the teams names out of a hat (bowl) and assign them to each GM in the order in which the signed up. Having said that, if someone gets a team they don't like I'm sure that something can be arranged and anyone can trade within their group. Other trades will be considered too but if you trade outside of your group you'll be expected to check at times that might not be as convenient for you.

OK, subject to modification by the participants, I was planning on taking picks between the hours of 7 AM and 12 PM. Like last year, pickers have 12 hours after the previous pick to make their pick. The hours between 12 midnight and 7 in the morning don't count against that 12 hours. You can make a pick during those hours but the next picker doesn't go on the clock until 7 AM. I'll be alerting the next picker that he's on the clock and when his deadline is when I update the draft tracker but it's your responsibility to get your pick in on time. Check often when it's getting close to your pick. Like last year, I'll be providing a list of the players/positions that have already been picked so peruse that list before you embarrass yourself.

If a GM doesn't make his pick within that 12 hour window I'll make a pick for them. If you think you might not be able to make your pick on time you are welcome to PM me with several choices (in order of preference) ahead of time and I'll pick as you indicated.

Please don't wait until you're already on the clock before you try and make a trade down as that holds us up big time. Same goes for those who want to trade up. Last but not least, please don't say "Wow, you guys picked all the players I was thinking of and I'll have to do some more research and make my pick later." Let's put a little effort into making timely picks. Last year it took us almost a month to complete 4 rounds but I expect us to do much better this year.

Apparently you won't be available for the first two days of the draft but there's always your phone if need be.

Honestly, if we decided to go this week or next week, I'd be happy. I'm pretty excited for this, would rather not wait a month, but if that's what you want to do, no problem.

5 rounds is good, not sure if I'll know enough to do 7.
