Hate to see Bobby Trees go, he was a consummate professional and I really missed seeing him on the jet sweeps, at which he was extremely effective. I understand the move from a football standpoint, particularly if they are going to keep OBJ (which they had damn well better now that they are letting Trees go) ... but man, it still hurts to see him go. Rarely do you get a FA signing that massively overplays his contract, but Bobby Trees did just that.

I greatly overestimated when I hoped for a low 2nd.
They needed the space.

The roster lesson here is they realized They could open up the offense a lot more with a guy like Odell or Robinson.. for about the same money. They also made Robinson's hit this year very palatable.

I *HOPE* that this means they're not done in FA as Jourdan Rodrigue has indicated.

Wow. Almost no compensation. NEXT years 6th is all Woods is worth? Thats utterly ridiculous. Nobody offered more then a 6th next freaking season?

This can only feel ok if that was a prelude to a bigger deal, like Hunter.

These past few days my emotions have been bouncing all over.

Sounds like opening up space. Stand by for the FA signing to make us bounce again.

Maybe they can flip that sixth to the Vikes for Hunter ... although we might have to pay the bonus he's due.

Can someone remind me how much money the Rams free up by trading Woods? Hoping the Rams use that saved money very wisely (Hate losing Woods!!)!!!
 
There’s no way this was the best offer for Robert. Just like the Lions did right by Stafford (ignoring better offers from Wash and Carolina), I’m guessing Snead did right by Woods.
