The Rams when at their best offensively is when they've been balanced with the run & pass(Capt Obvious right?).
Finessical. New word. Lol.

I feel like labeling them a finesse offense right now is pretty accurate, which isn't necessarily a bad thing the way the game is tailored these days. It's tough to be a defensive player right now. Hit...but don't hit too hard. Tackle...but tackle safely. Throwing the ball all over the field with timing and speed is a good idea, and the refs will reward you. Having said that, too much finesse equals soft and defenses will pick up on that.

The thing is, the Akers loss really has changed that balanced style(finessical) into what i think is now too finesse. Add the Woods injury and it could get even worse.

I'm a bit disappointed in Sony Michel not being more involved. I felt like this would be more of a 50/50 run game committee.

Higbee needs to be more involved now too. He's a physical guy with decent hands. Mundt has been missed in line.

Many have complained about the lack of commitment to the run, especially when it seems to be working and we're getting 4 yards/carry. IMO the issue is that McV gets impatient whenever he's behind on the scoreboard. This is more of a problem than anything else.

My armchair bottom line is we have guys OUT(players who bring physicality) and McV needs to be careful not to let his offense become too finesse. Next man up is fine but i think he needs to be conscious of this.

I assume this was mentioned somewhere, haven't gone through all the threads...But Glazer stated that OBJ plays a diff position than Woods and the Rams are planing for Benny Skow to fill Woods role.

Makes sense in regards to BS knowing the offense and his blocking ability and not making Jefferson change his role either, while OBJ starts to get his feet wet.

I assume it changes the over time, but initially that seems to make sense.

Blocking definitely makes sense and Woods did a lot of it, so using Skow make sense too. And he can catch the ball. Supposedly OBJ can block but he has to learn the plays before we see if that is true.

It was mentioned earlier, but doesn’t hurt to repeat it for visibility.

We will see how it plays out, Monday.

There's a McVay/Shanahan article on ESPN. Apparently Woods led the league in pre snap motion(119). While OBJ went in motion just eight times this season.

There have been reports of Ben Sko stepping into Woods' role rather than OBJ. This certainly makes some sense because there's no way OBJ will be able to immediately step in and know enough to execute all of the pre snap motion stuff.
