even as a Yankees fan I had much respect for Jerry as a broadcaster and as a person. Fought lung cancer 3 times...4th time was too much for him.

RIP. My dad’s an Angels fan, so I remember watching him in Anaheim when he was a Halo. Good guy from what I remember. Good glove and could lay down a good suicide squeeze when he needed to.
