Ups and downs of being a fan.
It sure is nice to have a lot more ups than downs these last couple of seasons.

Losing can bring out the worst in us, and Peters was the scapegoat, Wade has been getting a lot of flack as well.

Heading into the bye, we had fought hard. The two games that were of a concern were the Bears, and the Eagles.
The latter moreso. Still, i was confident we wpild win both. And we lost both, played poorly by our standards.
It certainly has taken the wind out of sails.

We have several weeks, including two games which we should crush uor opponents, and time on tje practice field to get stuff ironed out...whatever the issues may be, as frustrating as they appear to us, fhe fans.

The facts are these:
-There is no outstanding team now.
-Each team is having to deal with setbacks (pointing the finger at our main NFC rival, Saints most of all).
-We are in the playoffs
-As mentioned, we have a favourable closing regular season
-We are still a tough team that nobody walks over.
-We have a chance to win the Superbowl.

This season is very much alive for me, and I have faith.

GO RAMS

Agree with most things. Don't agree with the number 4. We are not winning a super bowl with this defense. Also the niners are not gonna be a cake walk. They beat the Hawks last week. They are playing with insane intensity and if we play with half add effort like we played the past 3 weeks we are gonna lose that one.

Like a losing season? Rams have improved substantionally over last season. But its a 16 game season and it's how you finish, not how you start. The OL is feeling its age. I'd like to see Whit and Sully sit and sub the next two games giving Noteboom and Allen some playing time. Good for all of them. Old guys get rest for the playoffs, new guys get experience.

When the Rams used to be bad, I used to point out on several different sites and to people in general that the Rams were close - I'd point to a bad bounce here or there, an injury or two, etc. Their answer was always the same: but that didn't happen and the Rams lost.

I believe I was right - because McVay came in and poof, we're a good team. So in the interest of consistency, here's me from the opposite end of the spectrum:

GB - without the fumble which was fairly lucky, we easily could have lost that game - and while at the time I was fine with it because they were coming off a bye, the Packers haven't looked very good since then

@NO - we've discussed this one enough

SEA - inexcusable performance IMO and a huge red flag - after getting ran all over in Seattle the defense shows up and.....gets ran on even worse - Seattle had the ball late with a chance to win; they're a good team but this should not have happened

KC - a game we easily could have lost, but the team performed well in this one - probably our best performance from this list

@DET - a double digit win, but the passing game was awful

@CHI - worst offensive performance of the year

PHI - inexcusable. Passing game was bad against a team down to their 5th string CBs? After having to travel to Dallas the week before and play nearly 70 minutes of football?

And let's go back further if you will - we were dominant against the Niners, but they've played much better since putting in Mullens at QB - and our offense wasn't exactly sharp against them despite the blowout. Before that? Close games against Seattle and Denver, and before that we let Kirk Cousins look like Peyton Manning against us.

What's my point? Obviously we're a good team - we're 11-3. And hopefully we finish with two wins and get a bye, playing better in the process. But my point, as it's always been, is that wins and losses can be somewhat fluky. HOW you are playing is more important IMO than whether you win or lose a few games. Case and point: if not Rams/Bears fans had to bet on who would go further in the playoffs, most would be on the Bears despite them having a worse record - because they are playing much better than we are and have been for some time now.

That's not to say the sky is falling - it's not - but this team must play better or we will not have any success come playoff time.

Yeah 11 wins and two games to go, this team feels like an impostor to me right now. This is not the team that was playing before KC that wore Horns. I'd get angry when someone called us soft or the slightly nicer term, finesse.
Yep, I'll watch the rest of the games. Maybe McVay can pull us out of the nose dive. Until then, I'm watching AD.
With ILBers, both at 220 max, the 3-4 will never work---it may be a passing league, but many teams can control the game through running when they see a 'weak' team like the Rams: Saints, Seattle, Chiefs destroy a defense like ours. With a 4-3 you cover up your ILB....and don't let 2 guards run at tiny ILBs....Wade pride has cost him his job...unless he does a "2006 Dungy".

Those are simply your expectations and literally mean nothing in the wide world of sports reality zone.

Correct. It is only my personal opinion (that we must reach the superbowl this year or it's failure).
I'm certainly entitled to an opinion of the Rams team I've followed for 4 decades.
Also, I'm absolutely correct. :)

The Rams have been very resilient this year winning a number of close games they could easily have lost. Those wins give the Rams a chair at the playoff table. It’s apparent that the offense will have to carry this team for the remainder of the season (for however long it is). So we are asking the Offense to be prepared and represent well at the table and only asking the Defense to not get drunk and pass out at the table.

Good teams know how to win. Bad teams know how to lose. At 11 and 3 we know which one the rams are this season.

Rams have improved substantionally over last season.

Have we though? Our special teams were lights out last year, until Greg was out anyway. Our return game has been very meh this year. Kayvon and Tru were better than we realize, and some other key people have lost a step on D. Our only real weakness last year was getting gashed by runs--and that's still a problem. I think we're also figuring out how valuable Kupp is.
