Best thing that can happen for the NFC West (in terms of them showing well in the playoffs) is Seattle fading. They're too flawed on defense and there is just no way that team and staff survive the playoff environment. And now that Carroll has some extra security he needs to fire both coordinators and bring in more coaching talent. Pete's a great motivator but he has to have higher standards if he wants to compete in this division.

The Cards IMO are the team that will end up winning the West if the Rams can't get it done up front with Whit out, and/or the kicking kills them. I do think the Rams are the more talented team, and deeper overall but losing Whit was one of the worst injuries we could have suffered. Only thing worse than that would be losing Jared for significant time.

So the stage is set for a lot of drama whereas if we hadn't lost Whit I think we'd put a stranglehold on this division here soon. But at least we're in it and I pray that MG wins the "kicking competition" that McVay said would go down this weekend. Of course like I mentioned before I expect if there's a way to fuck up this decision Bonamego will manage it.

Here’s something to root for.

For Seahawks at Philadelphia.... There is a weather system currently projected for Monday and Monday Evening. Heavy rainfall.

Lets hope this syncs up PERFECTLY with game time!

A good sloppy game might give the Eagles a chance.

Nice post. One correction. Losing AD would be the most catastrophic event for the Rams. Goff would be #2.

I don't trust New England to beat the Cardinals and I'm already counting this week as a win for the Seahawks. It's going to be a tough one but Rams really need to beat the whiners this time around.

I think AZ loses this one. East coast, Belichick vs Kingsbury.
Bellyfat always seems to draw up an effective gameplan against offense-oriented teams that like to spread the defense out and go vertical.
AZ 17
NE 20

Seattle will win by 3 TD's.
27-7

I dont know what crapolo has to do with it, but it seems shanny has not lost to the Rams with crapolo playing and hasnt beat the Rams without crapolo playing. So history seems to be on our side, but I still dont understand why the Rams havent beaten crapolo, he has had little to nothing to do with sf beating the Rams.

it's equally baffling and frustrating.

I agree .....9ers with Shanahan have worked out some kind of voodoo on McVay. I really think that's one of the many reasons why Wade was dumped for Staley but the problem is ....Staley's defense was not good enough going up against Shanahan earlier & that game should not have been close.

The NFL is buzzed with all this stuff about Staley being NFL's hottest coach.....But he needs to show up this Sunday & show up big against Shanahan's offense. I have been really happy with Staley as our DC but it's time to put a good old fashion butt beating on this 9ers team.

9ers offense that will be without the magic of QB Jimmy G, RB Tevin Coleman, TE George Kittle, WR Brandon Aiyuk, OL'ers Trent Williams, Ben Garland & Weston Richburg should be scoreless going into halftime. We know what happens when that happens.......:hush:

i think the first whiners game was a epiphany moment for staley. the d came out very soft that day and whiners rbs and wrs ran for huge chunks of yards every time they touched the ball in the 1st half. jimmy g didn't need to throw the ball past the line of scrimmage. he'd pass it flat to a wr and they would run for at least 8 yards every time. it was an awful game from the d.

well after that the d has come out hard every game. no more easy yards out the gate for opposing teams anymore. i think the whiners will not find the going as easy as it was the first time around.

I figure Debo Samuel will have a quiet day. Stopping Mostert and the rest of the RBs are going to be the challenge.

Maybe the ball will slip out of Wentz's hands and he will actually complete a pass to his own receiver
