Best thing that can happen for the NFC West (in terms of them showing well in the playoffs) is Seattle fading. They're too flawed on defense and there is just no way that team and staff survive the playoff environment. And now that Carroll has some extra security he needs to fire both coordinators and bring in more coaching talent. Pete's a great motivator but he has to have higher standards if he wants to compete in this division.
The Cards IMO are the team that will end up winning the West if the Rams can't get it done up front with Whit out, and/or the kicking kills them. I do think the Rams are the more talented team, and deeper overall but losing Whit was one of the worst injuries we could have suffered. Only thing worse than that would be losing Jared for significant time.
So the stage is set for a lot of drama whereas if we hadn't lost Whit I think we'd put a stranglehold on this division here soon. But at least we're in it and I pray that MG wins the "kicking competition" that McVay said would go down this weekend. Of course like I mentioned before I expect if there's a way to fuck up this decision Bonamego will manage it.
