Yup, I saw several blatant holds on GB, but we also had hardly any calls that way too. GB developed a ground game and quick passing game, its our defenses Achilles heel and they knew it. AD not 100% made it that much worse.

The above highlights my main criticism of our team, in the trenches we need to be more physical on offense and defense, be able to impose our will on the really good units. This type of success is what our teams success is based on. Collapsing pockets on defense, blowing up the line and holding it too on offense. With good units, both our lines become invisible at times, its our biggest obstacle toward becoming elite, imo.

And that right there is why I always say, when evaluating how good the Rams Offensive line is (defensive line too), you have to compare it to the best lines in the game. Those are the lines they have to be able to beat if they are to get back to the Super Bowl. Being a top fifteen Oline isn't goid enough. A bottom fifteen isn't getting anything done in the playoffs.

The Rams liked Elton Jenkins in the draft and the Packers jumped them in a trade up. More players of that caliber are needed to complete the Oline. Same for the defensive line for that matter. Scheme can only do so much.

We did plenty of holding too. I can't complain about the refs. I felt there should have been offsetting penalties on the Donald play, but outside of that, they called an even game.

This may have already been discussed but how did Staley and McVay miss this information and not have a plan to beat the Packers holding?
There is information out there on how the Vikings beat it after seeing it twice a year every year, so it can be done!

If the refs were consistent on enforcing holding calls, I guarantee at least 1/3 of the league would have QB injuries.

It's not a surprise to me that refs turn a blind eye since QBs are protected species.

As I mentioned in another thread, Staley was too busy with his multiple interviews across multiple teams last week.

On one replay, it showed a pretty egregious shot of John Johnson being bear hugged, on what was I believe Green Bay's biggest run of the day. No flag.

The Packers hold nonstop. Nothing new there. It also was not the reason we lost. We got beaten by a better team. It is as simple as that.
Read what you wrote again and think about it. If holding was actually called on ever team the Rams played this year, we would have played the playoff game in LA instead of Green Bay and Aaron Donald would have broken the sack record..
