It's just like some of the mock drafts out there. They claim if the QBs are out, we will take Ragland to be a replacemnt for JL55. But the staff has repeatingly screamed they will use Ogletree there, even to the point of picking up a 5th yr. option. But no........they (whoever wants to play god and scoopmeister for the moment and see beyond to the truth) has to throw out their 2 cents .............it's amazing.
It's probably just a guy in Denver, who would love for us to p/u Hoyer and let Denver p/u Keenum.........
If we could give a 6th for Hoyer and trade Keenum for a 4th.

Thanks for the Avatar -X-.

Actually about 9 years ago I went to the animal shelter and adopted a cute little black kitten and named him Gandalf...Gandalf the BLACK! A couple years later my wife rescued a little kitten from the neighbor's dog and he was named Frodo.

I hope it happens. Hear me out.

The Rams HAVE to trade up for Goff or Wentz IF they want them, If they decide to rely on that and end up not being able to, they just freaked themselves. Hoyer fits the mold of a QB that the Rams feel they can win with. His TD/INT ratio of 19-7 last year shows that he's not making a ton of mistakes. If he came here, in fact, no matter who comes here, we're still going to be a run heavy team. If we can load up on weapons for the offense, Hoyer can run this thing. If Paxton Lynch falls to us, Hoyer is going to be a more reliable starter than what we have while Lynch gets up to speed on the NFL X's and O's. The Rams are in no position to take a chance on them getting the QB they want, because there's too many holes on this team to give up the farm.
You're forgetting that we already have 3 mediocre QB s on the roster. What use is a 4th?

There is really nothing to see here as the Rams have been rumored to be interested in every QB that is available and some who are not (Peyton Manning).

All Ram fans know that one of these four will be donning horns come May...Carson Wentz, Jarred Goff, Paxton Lynch or gulp...Connor Cook.

Told you. Its not over until every available QB is suggested to be a good fit here. And then when that well is all dried up, they'll start suggesting recently retired QBs. And then, ultimately, some dipstick is gonna invoke the spirit of Tom Tebow. Its almost guaranteed to happen.

I was thinking more in terms of bringing back Flutie, at least he knew how to win....

See, as a straight up swap for Foles, it might make sense for both teams. Hoyer has more money coming to him than Foles- I think none of it guaranteed, since the roster bonus seems to be a per game bonus. Too much money for a backup, since they just signed an expensive starter. But what is owed to Foles is much more reasonable for a vet backup.

With all of Hoyer's flaws, I would rather he be the additional veteran competing with Keenum, Mannion and the rookie than Foles. If he doesn't beat out Keenum - he can be cut, no money lost. If he beats out Case, the Rams are ahead.
