I hope it happens. Hear me out.
The Rams HAVE to trade up for Goff or Wentz IF they want them, If they decide to rely on that and end up not being able to, they just freaked themselves. Hoyer fits the mold of a QB that the Rams feel they can win with. His TD/INT ratio of 19-7 last year shows that he's not making a ton of mistakes. If he came here, in fact, no matter who comes here, we're still going to be a run heavy team. If we can load up on weapons for the offense, Hoyer can run this thing. If Paxton Lynch falls to us, Hoyer is going to be a more reliable starter than what we have while Lynch gets up to speed on the NFL X's and O's. The Rams are in no position to take a chance on them getting the QB they want, because there's too many holes on this team to give up the farm.
Except they really aren't. It's not like Hoyer is going anywhere anytime soon, and he's not a considerable upgrade to Keenum and Mannion anyway.
