True, but good teams overcome bad calls like the Rams did last year. The Refs still suck, but we don’t have the ability to change the narrative.
I guess what we are saying is, they let so much go uncalled against the Seahawks at that same juncture yet called the game really tight against the the Rams. That is not just bad calls. That is a continuous influence of the outcome of the game. To say, well good teams overcome bad calls only true when that is all that is happening. I guess the Rams were not that good in Brady's 1st SB win because they couldn't overcome all the illegal contact and holding penalties that the Pats got away with. Or the intentional grounding that should have been called on Brady on the winning drive.

By the way, with everything the Rams did to come back in the SB last year, if the Refs don't start calling the PIs and holding the way the rules call out on the last drive, we don't win and we become another favorite stunned by an upstart QB in the SB.

I call recency bias. There have been many as bad or worse. How about the NFCC in New Orleans. They let so many penalties go they forgot to throw the flag on that PI.

Oh and how can you forget the SB last year. The only reason the Cincy was in the game was because of a no call PI and all the holding and illegal contact they allowed in the Cincy Defensive backfield. I think we could go on and on.
And then there was the Pittsburgh game in 2019 that just drove me up the wall I was so pissed

Yeah, we shot ourselves in the foot, but the shit at the end was game-changing, and yes, it can be pinned on the refs - the same refs who fucked us in Pittsburgh all those years ago.

Craig Whorestad should never be allowed to ref so much as a Pee-Wee game.
Curious as to this Pittsburgh game you’re referring of?

I'm usually not a "blame the refs" guy.. and I still wouldn't blame them for the loss..

But.... holy shit they get an assist.

This was almost as bad as that Rams/Steelers game a few years ago.

I haven’t seen as blatant a fox as this one since the other one I mentioned.
I agree...that Steelers game when Jared's arm went forward and the pass traveled forward several yards being called a fumble was beyond ludicrous. But four BAD (not questionable) calls in a row at the end of a game is....perplexing. I didnt even emotionally care...it just looked like an agenda?

Fuck, don’t recall this game at all for some reason.

that's exactly how the nfl works. nobody remembers and they move onto the next game.

what was weird about that game wasn't the ref's calls but the suits in new york green lighting every single blatant wrong call in a matter of seconds. we're talking about tds and change of possession calls.

that was the most rigged game i've ever seen. even more than superbowl 36.

I would much rather have seen Detroit in the playoffs but I really don't care that the Rams lost. Granted the officiating sucked and we got screwed, but the only thing that it affects is that the Rams get a higher draft pick. And hopefully Seattle will beat the 9ers. Those two teams know each other very well, so you never know.
