I'd also like to say again that the 3rd and 12 catch by Marquise Brown was not a catch. Can't believe no one told McVay to challenge it which led to the Cards first field goal. Grr.

When Brown catches the ball his left foot is not touching turf and Ramsey nails him and he flies out of bounds without touching a second foot. There was a better angle but I can't seem to find it now and they never replayed it live which was also annoying.

I want SOFI to clearly be our stadium when we play the whiny whiners.

That said, did it seem like Kingsbury was desperate in some of the situations where he went for it on 4rth down? I mean sure, at times you try for it, but it seemed like he was desperate and even went for it on 4th and 1 on their own 20 when the game was still close.
Dude he was desperate and it was wonderous ! Lol He’ll be a fine new offensive assistant.

All I did was repeat McVay's presser and describe what we did. And when I said we played that way you said in the GDT I was told I was wrong so it is what it is. They did well today and their coach was pleased.
Yeah, but it's coach speak to some extent. I don't expect him to stand up there and announce that he was worried about his young secondary being burned deep.

Not many people do. But the Rams do this for a reason and it's been talked about over and over and over. Add to the normal reasons we had young CB's out there with Ramsey. It shouldn't really be a shock that the Rams did it today.
Umm....yeah what I said. The young secondary really was a big factor.

Back to the if somebody agrees with what a coach says it's truth if not it's coach speak. We see it all the time.

All in All, there was some missed opportunities plus Akers is killing me softly. The fumble when the Rams would about to put the game away, just have to improve with ball security, but we've been over that again & again.

FWIW, I like Henderson close to the goal line, he has a bit more burst and seems more effective then Akers, hopefully, that will work itself out or if the activate Brown, maybe that's his gig.
I think what people are missing with this game is that the machine started to turn correctly. The OL actually stayed on their blocks, even in the run game. The QB was in damn near playoff form. Even the RBs showed well.

My take on RB is that we need Akers to eat the carries. He's the back that gets stronger as he gets into the flow of the game. Not sure if Williams is like that, but that's what we're lacking. So him having a good game is a big deal for us. It's not like the run lanes will be there vs SF of course, but having it there for most opponents is important to not make Stafford try to win every game with his arm.

Hendy looked very good. Early in the game I was thinking oh shit gonna need to kiss his ass because he looks like he's about to have a big game. But that's Hendy. He'll show well for a bit then that'll be that. So back to the guy taking the carries being Akers, I think that is the balance we need. It is the balance we have been lacking. We still have a QB of the quality required to overcome it, but why get to that point unless you need to.

Brown's value is that we have another gameday option if Akers misses time. He gets hurt a lot too because he runs hard, but it's valuable to have him behind Hendy. The RB room right now has the look of maybe it's ready to step up and be dependable for the offense. Which is great timing with SF ahead.

One thing I keep getting back to.. how good is Alaric Jackson? I mean that in a sincere way... looks like he's just solid AF.. not spectacular.. but ABSOLUTELY getting the job done. Am I being overly positive? The interior of the line has looked really solid two weeks in a row.. granted, against mediocre fronts.

I like Sanchez. I think he is funny.

I'll say this... I watched the colts game at 1 and Romo called that one. He's terrible and his act was already old after his 1st yr. Basically ruined watching the game for me.

Sanchez is much better to listen to than Romo and he does say some things that he probably shouldn't... and that does make him funny and entertaining. He's got some work to do though... like homework before every game. That clown they pair Sanchez with fucking sucks though and I'm confident that his vision is completely fucked and needs glasses.

Honestly, I am absolutely amazed that many of the clowns that call games are actually still employed and payed for the shit jobs they do. Many of them completely suck. It's bad.

I just don’t like 15 yards off on 3rd and 12 and 12 yards off on 3rd and 10

Plus just play press once in awhile with Ramsey on Brown

But otherwise this was a good win for the Rams
It was driving me crazy the entire second-half. But it worked...can't argue when they keep the opposition out of the end zone entirely.

I believe it is safe to say that the majority of us do not like the 10 yard cushions that Morris typically employs. However, it is hard to argue with the results, and our corners are rookies. My biggest beef with that strategy is that it does not give any incentive for the D-line to rush the passer. Can you imagine how frustrating it must be for Donald to go "all out" knowing that the QB can simply dump off a pass that will go for 8-10 yards very time?

It is so obvious that neither Kyler Murray nor Kingsbury are the answer at their position. I love it.
The defense looked much better and the run game existed. Let's see if we can play well against the 9ers, real tone setter early in the season.
Bickley brought the heat again this morning on-air calling for a 'cultural change' at the top. Proceeded then to question exactly what Kliff's offense is...

Man, I agree on Romo. Feel like I have already heard everything he has to say.

Feel the same way about Collinsworth but that ... at least ... took a decade or so to get there.

Seems though the goal of the rush was simply to contain the midget, force him to throw out of the pocket. If you get a sack, great.

It did work...

"Mush rush".. right?
Press the pocket but don't break contain. That was the assignment and it worked.
