So, anyway, the Rams kicked the crap out of the Cardinals in Phoenix...again! It's like 7-8 years in a row in Phoenix the Rams have won.

Woot! Woot!

The one player that jumped out to me was #6, Derion Kendrick. Hard hits, and was frequently in on plays. Not saying he's the next Jalen, but he did have a sweet game from what I saw.

Would have given Akers one too but for the fumble even if it was a great play by an All Pro safety in Baker he needs to hold on to that.

Maybe that was payback for the time Akers put Baker in the hospital. Just a thought.

Lots of 4-2-5 as well.
That's where our guys still really need one more edge rusher. If they can somehow land someone like Quinn? This defense will be smoking by playoff time.
The Quinn reunion seems so logical.

He's very physical and a real tackler.. I love that.

It's clear Tutu in nearing bust status. After all this time he can't run the routes correctly. Instead of carrying on he angled to the corner and the pass went where Stafford expected him to be. With Skowronek and Powell playing at a high level, with McCutcheon and Harris in the wings it's time for Tutu to show he can at least play STs.

It's clear how much the Rams miss Jefferson. Harris has the size and speed to be that deep threat to take the top off the secondary. Skowronek, Powell, and McCutcheon are short to medium range possession types of WRs. McVay's offense is predicated upon threatening all three levels, short, medium, and deep. It was clear Matt was not happy with Tutu.

It's also clear that this offense needs a FB when they want to run the ball and for play action. Carter is a legit FB and he also can catch. It's time the experimentation is over and it's clear that a lead blocker is essential for consistently being able to run.

Havenstein was hurt and I have little faith in Evans against the Niner edge rushers. Time to move Jackson to RT and play Aboushi at RG. IMO Jackson has proved himself a capable starter. Even playing hurt Noteboom has validated the Ram's trust in him.

The depth of this team is being tested and so far it's holding up pretty damn well. Roasting the birds was sweet. Watching Kyler get frustrated was really nice. The Cards wasted their money on him. Speaking of QBs the rumor is that the Hawks have their eyes on the Huskies QB Penix. That guy is the real deal. He's a pocket passer with a strong arm, excellent accuracy and enough speed to threaten a defense when he breaks out of the pocket. I hope he ends up in the AFC.

Beating Jimmy G next week will be frosting on the cake.

So we have 4 home stadiums. Sofi, Arizona’s, Tampas, and Seattle's.

I want SOFI to clearly be our stadium when we play the whiny whiners.

That said, did it seem like Kingsbury was desperate in some of the situations where he went for it on 4rth down? I mean sure, at times you try for it, but it seemed like he was desperate and even went for it on 4th and 1 on their own 20 when the game was still close.

Aren’t the Broncos in the AFC West?

Yes, thankfully, Jimmy gag, gagged.

Funny thought, I went on the whiners "webzone" and some of them are whining that the Rams "bought" super bowl 56.

I guess they forgot how they lost draft picks for their NFL sins?

Not many people do. But the Rams do this for a reason and it's been talked about over and over and over. Add to the normal reasons we had young CB's out there with Ramsey. It shouldn't really be a shock that the Rams did it today.
No reason to do that on those long 3rd downs - continue to do like they are doing on 1st and second down and only give 10 yards

It is so obvious that neither Kyler Murray nor Kingsbury are the answer at their position. I love it.
The defense looked much better and the run game existed. Let's see if we can play well against the 9ers, real tone setter early in the season.

Just another one of those, "The score doesnt tell the true story of the game" types. Fine with me. It's the McVay era of September being the pre-season. Rather win ugly than lose pretty

Well, if you're going to buy, you better win it. That never bothers me because ask them about their former owner and how and why their former owner Edward John DeBartolo Jr. did time?

All in All, there was some missed opportunities plus Akers is killing me softly. The fumble when the Rams would about to put the game away, just have to improve with ball security, but we've been over that again & again.

FWIW, I like Henderson close to the goal line, he has a bit more burst and seems more effective then Akers, hopefully, that will work itself out or if the activate Brown, maybe that's his gig.

Good job by the offensive line overall, again Jackson playing well and the broadcast with Mark Sanchez & Kevin Kugler was horrendous. They didn't tell us who was injured and the only reason I knew it was Havenstein was because as friend of mine was listening on the radio. Almost died when I saw Bobby Evans at RT and then the Rams didn't pass the ball once, they ran mostly left and Akers scored the TD.

As the saying goes necessity is the mother of invention and with Evans in the game, McVay knew he had to run the ball on every play. Boom was solid and Edwards was better too. They better get ready because next week is going to be a war. 49ers will be coming for blood and they play dirty.

How bad is Mark Sanchez in the booth?? NFL needs to have local announcers like MLB does....

He started off pretty good the first few times I heard him last season but this year he seems to have created a shtick persona he wants to project. Awful.

I'm happy for the win. Need Stafford to start connecting on some of those deep balls.
Not too worried about the deep balls. The last one to Kupp was money. Timing is just not there yet with AR and it looked to me like Tutu slowed up a bit like he didn’t think the ball was coming his way.
