I like Corum but I wouldn't use the word "explosive" to describe him.
Me either. To be fair and transparent, I didn’t watch him in college and there’s limited work to evaluate in his rookie season. He appears to have a little more burst and change of direction ability than KW. I’d give the edge to KW in all other abilities.
Corum- IIRC on the play he broke the forearm, catch in the flat and hit twice at sideline…it didn’t look incredibly violent(in relative football terms). Obviously it was enough to knock him out of the game and onto IR.
Could be a fluky injury and probably was, but I can’t help but feel like he finally gets his opportunity to start and shine, but gets knocked out instead. Was Corum an iron man at Michigan?
Kyren has struggled to stay healthy here. He’s missed alot of games.
IMO both Corum and Williams are ideal relief backs behind a 3 down elite feature back. That’s where they belong on an ideal McVay offense.
Was it really Kyren Williams in the 5th rd who rejuvenated the dead Rams run game? Or was it McVay’s strategic shift towards more physicality offensively? Maybe both. Idk.
