I don’t know what the oline ranking was at the end of last year, it probably wasn’t good, but then a lot of the guys playing then aren’t playing now. That alone should get them out of the 30’s, especially since there are some holdovers from the SB team.

Even less stress on Sean…thank you Mr. Clay. Hoping the Rams have competitive games. It would be fun to surprise and scare a few teams.

The Cards are being pretty bold with their tank. I'm going to have to be a huge Texan fan this year, lest the Cards get a combo of Caleb and Harrison Jr for the foreseeable future.

Welcome aboard!! After all the changes this year the Texans are officially my #2 team and #1 in the AFC!!!

Rams + Texans. Let's go Team Ungulates!!

.

who is this untested talent they talk about? 2nd year players aren't untested. just because they don't know them it doesn't mean they can't play.

cbs - witherspoon, durant, thomplinson
s - fuller, jj3

there's one rookie in there if he starts. the other safeties are 2nd year players.

screw these know nothings.

We had 5 wins last year with more experience than we have this year. I can't blame pundits for not respecting our roster. A lot of things they did earlier in the offseason sure made it look like they're not trying to build a winner for this season. We did add a few vets in Witherspoon, JJ3, Robinson and Tyler Johnson. But the rest of the roster has many question marks. We'll see how the season shakes out.

I prefer the media shitting on us. Also roster strength top to bottom we are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Our saving grace is some of our high end starters and McVay running the team. But even with those positives we're looking at maybe sneaking into the playoffs best case scenario.

So the Rams are a smart bet for lists like this, in terms of who to shit on. Haters need to jump onboard now before we finish up the reload with next offseason, which will probably come with a high end FA acquisition or two, maybe some role players on top of that, and a draft with a high pick for once. It's all good.

Sometimes a season like this is good to keep your fanbase grounded. Otherwise you can become spoiled or entitled like Pats fans were for so many years. Of course I'd rather be spoiled but trying to make the best of it here.

I think watching the defensive front struggle to get pressure and watching someone like Bruss whiff on blocks might have brought our confidence down a notch.

Most the big runs against the defense were in the second half where we had backups and guys who won't be on the roster soon. So I'm hoping the starters won't be as bad.

But so far I'm not seeing anything that makes me think we're a playoff team. Our starting offensive line will be better but I never viewed them as anything better than average. I'm not as concerned with the secondary as I was before. But the front 7 is something to watch.

Once again what concerns me is our lack of physicality (including quickness and speed) on both lines. Although it does seem like McSnead have tried to address it.

I think its going to take time. This might be one of those learning seasons for a lot of guys. Which is something teams do when they're rebuilding. I'm approaching this season as preparation for next season. I hope I'm wrong, but its quite possible we start 0-3 and 1-4.

The schedule gets easier later on. So maybe as they play they improve and win more with an easier schedule? If they win one of the first 3 I'll be satisfied with that.

Worst Team Talent in the NFL?! Call me a RAMS HOMER but I don’t believe it!! FAR FROM IT!! I think a lot of NFL FANS (Possibly, Even Some Rams Fans!) will be eating a lot of CROW after this season she the Rams make the Playoffs!!!

Bottom 5 record is my best guess. The defense will be atrocious to start the year. Too many young players with little to no experience is going to bite us in the ass, but give us a good idea of who will be here to contribute for 2024 when we get back to our spending ways. By the way, wouldn't mind eating crow hahaha

2017 - 2021: "They are trading away their precious draft picks for proven players OMG MORTAGING THE FUTURE BC YOU HAVE TO BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT SCREECH!!!!!"

2022-2023: "They have so many picks and so many rookies THERE'S NO TALENT OMGZ".

Double standard after double fucking standard.

Unproven does not equal untalented....

Yes but young talent takes time to get much better. We need multiple players to pan out as impact players pretty quickly to have a chance. I just don't see that happening early on in the season at all. They could show more flashes towards the latter half of the year, but I think it'll be too late by then for our win-loss record. When you have coaches openly admitting that the young players are going to make lots of mistakes, that speaks volumes in terms of them knowing this is not a playoff roster. Shit, our own GM just talked about how we will go back to our spending ways in 2024. Why even talk about that when we haven't played a regular season game in 2023? This is a reset year simply for cap purposes since they wanted to reload the roster sooner than later.

Let me also add, I pray that I'm wrong as hell because it means we hit on quite a few draft picks and would greatly accelerate opening our SB window by next year. I'm still rooting for us to win every game possible but my expectations are also tempered due to our youth.

I've never mentioned anything about mortgaging the future and was totally fine with it because they were targeting elite talent. So many low picks and so many rookies is a whole nother ball game. Living up to ur angry name I see. It ain't that serious, its only football :laugh2:

Well the staff also said they aren't gonna use rooks and youth as an excuse. Aside from taking time to development, I don't agree w/ your assessment at all. The team had a bunch of vets last year and also sported a 5 win record, so it a bad record can happen with or without experience.

The main thing I'm not on board with is this "already written" assessment that the team is gonna be bad b/c of young guys. As if there's no chance.

Also a bunch of young guys had play time last year. You don't think any of that will translate this year and aid in their development? I think they are gonna be a scrappy team. Maybe 7-10 wins and compete for a wild card.

Well that wasn't directed toward any poster in particular. Pointing out another double standard in a never ending sea of double standards in football.
