The pressure wins games as it did tonight.

But I'm also very impressed with how Staley has players plugging the gaps at the line and correctly playing the coverage in the secondary. Rams used to regularly lose games with breakdowns at both levels. I think this is not solely due to Staley bringing more pressure, but a function of the players playing together enough and improving in their understanding of the scheme

It's clear that Staley and McVay are very similar in their approaches. They drill execution and assignment soundness. Loved Wade, but his defense definitely was not disciplined like this one is.

Nah... the refs were doing him dirty, early, and it REALLY felt like the refs were trying to keep the Bucs in it. Two really bad PI calls on Ramsey... I mean, Evans initiates contact and throws Ramsey out of the way and Ramsey gets called for PI?

Was nuts.

I still cannot believe they blew that fumble dead.

Maybe this is a dumb question but if a team does something illegal like throw 2 forward passes why do you have to accept the penalty and give them another down? Seems like it should be incomplete or down at the spot of the illegal 2nd throw.

I looked up the rule. It's fucking stupid. An illegal forward pass when you go past the LOS is a loss of down. If you throw an illegal forward pass behind the LOS, like Brady, it's not a loss of down. What fucking bullshit.

I missed the game, I'm really sick and have been having one of the worst migraines of my life, pretty sure I have Covid but my husband says we got the W. Eat shit Brady!
Your boy played well...hope you dvr’d the game

I agree, didn't seem like the right call.

Tonight is the first night all year I have thought that we might actually have a Super Bowl caliber team. After shutting down the midget, I thought "well, the defense is legit. Let's see if our offense can handle the Bucs' defense and pressure." I'm not making any guarantees, but teams that win it all generally are sound all around. We have a good offense and a great defense. Outside of the Steelers, how many other teams can say that?

Agreed. Tonight was a watershed game. Our defense has looked great in past seasons only to be exposed later. This is the best defense I can remember in a long while that we have had. The Staley Scheme is also a net positive and getting better down the stretch which is a great sign. If JJ doesnt drop an easy pick thats 3 Ints vs Brady.

Our composition of top defense and efficient offense should scale well in the playoffs. Offense isn't as explosive as with Gurley but it looked playoff ready tonight.

Not to say we are the favorite in the NFC but we definitely a solid contender if we play our game.

He wasn't perfect hell nobody was tonight really but damnit Boom did good. Especially against that front 7, not listening to anybody calling him out tonight.
