That article was a little rough IMO. There was some seriouslyly backhanded compliments in there. More like thinly veiled shots at Goff. Oh well...

maybe that guy thinks there's a wide open tyreek hill on the field every play for the rams and goff just isn't going deep to him.

That was because he was holding & Hopkins was not getting the ball. The playcalling & mistakes.
I do know he let another TD score when he didn’t come up and make a hit.Be did get flagged a couple times as well.
He brings a lot to The Rams & has been frustrating Top WR’s. Deebo did make a play last week to help win a game at SOFI .
BTW- one Zona’s first long TD by the TE it was RAMsey who was supposed to be on him,not Troy Hill.Add the last Zona TD by the TD it was RAMsey once again who was on him.

Hopkins beat him last in the end zone & tripped over him while calling a PI on himself. The Ref kept the flag in his pocket. They joked about it,but I hold him accountable & not just going to say how great he is.

I will say Troy Hill has back to back TD’s & at times it changes the game
for The Rams to win. He also made an excellent play on 3rd & long, tipping a ball away from a wr’s.

Don't know if you noticed, but the long PI Call against Ramsey actually should have been against Hopkins. Hopkins was holding Ramsey's White Sleeve, the ref Missed the call. There is no way to say the first TD was on Ramsey, as I believe he had Hopkins and someone else was supposed to take the TE.

On the Hopkins TD, it was trips, and while Ramsey had Hopkins, he was picked. Not sure any DB in the NFL makes that play. On the final touchdown, if I remember correctly, Ramsey went in motion, his man got picked up and he switched and covered the TE coming into the middle of the field, and was actually in pretty good position. I don't remember him giving up a TD by not hitting someone.

I thought he played a heck of a game. CBs are not going to win every play, it is just the nature of the position. I think if you go back and watch those plays, you might have a different perspective.

Either way, great win, and on to the Pats.

I saw the score yesterday but was unable to watch until today. I thought Goff did a good job, and this is the kind of game he needs to consistently have. He’s capable, he just has to stop having those awful turnover filled games.

Oh and I think Ramsey will be my next jersey purchase!

I dunno who does it, but is there that special someone who puts together all the talking head stuff for after a Rams game?

I'm off to scour YouTube, but their search engine leaves a lot to be desired.

Shout out to Corbett and Havenstein on the Hendo TD. Massive hole.

Hungry hungry Hippo had a great game.

Greg Gaines is really coming on. Dude is getting some serious pressure using some Donald moves with his hands and getting skinny. Hollins also had some nice pressures and the strip sack.

Did you notice the quote during the game about Jared can't play scared he has to be in control. I immediately thought of the Miami game and saw it as a turning point in the way Goff has played compared to before the bye. Its almost like he reverted back to early last year (some good some bad). He looked in control today. I loved seeing more of Goff rolling out in this game. I think it helps him to get straight.

I even saw that play I said about missing this year where everyone goes one way then a receiver goes the other. This time it was Woods instead of Gurley.
Fully agree with you Elm. In fact I think by the time this season is over McVay is going to need to send Flores a fruit club membership for that game. IMO it was the kind of beating that can make players soul search and push to get better (when they're the type of guys that the Rams have). And since that game Goff has been putting together a ton of good film with super quick reads that are going to benefit us in the playoffs.

This season in general, the schedule they played and how things went down, have the Rams in a real nice place. They have been challenged and have continued to build and improve in the face of it, so they have a real shot at making a run this year.

The New England matchup on Thursday night is just another example of that, this is gonna be a playoff type atmosphere and challenge and I think Goff's gonna be ready. :horns:  :horns:

One other thing I want to mention that I mentioned in the game thread. Noteboom needs to do some self-scouting. He was tipping plays after Goff changed the play at the LOS. He would sometimes realign after the change. When he'd do that, you could tell if we were going to pass or run based on his stance. He pass blocked well in this game, so I don't want people think I'm attacking him. That's just something defenders will key on if he doesn't address it.
Yeah and one thing that irked me too was the pre-snap movement by the OL across the board. We got away with some BS in that game IMO. Could have been multiple false starts so they need to settle down on that shit.

Webster has been carrying the ball loose for a couple of weeks and he is not effective as a returner really.
Not impressed but maybe he will improve.
Gay missed a very makable kick Sunday but did help save a possible TD on crappy kickoff coverage.
No point in switching kickers again.
I still consider Web to be a safe type returner. He's not gonna make things happen when it's not there, but generally he's been safe with the ball and I'm sure he'll have a ton of ball security drills this short week in practice.

Our teams are pretty crappy on the stuff that often misses being noticed, the blocks and beating guys downfield, even some guys not playing full speed to the whistle. There was one return where a better post-snap block by Hughes (46) would have allowed for a big return for Web, as the field would have been wide open not to mention the fact we caught the ball midfield. Here's a couple stills of that one...

At the snap he aligns over his guy
1607420937454.png

Doesn't really bother to lock him up or even get into his pads at all
1607421028133.png

Ball is out and he's checkin out the cheerleader or something idk just a slow reaction overall too
1607421078423.png

Still lookin at something no idea what he's doing, but his guy is filling the middle of a LOT of green space
1607421162977.png

As Web makes the catch that one player really saves Arizona from a potential big return as the punter outkicked the coverage
1607421228279.png

Web is not dynamic at all but he's also not the primary issue with our teams play IMO.

Yeah I almost put that play up in stills because of the way he didn't tip his decision until it was made. Sometimes the young backs telegraph their direction before the cut but he basically keeps his shoulders square until the cut which helped lock the safety out. Real nice execution across the board by the OL but also the RB.

Either way, great win, and on to the Pats.

I watched the first TD & the DB coach(Evero) went right after him
& called him out.Weather that he didn’t call the switch or whatever it was RAMsey had responsibility there.

The PI call was obvious & if your saying it was on Hopkins, then I think
your looking at that play as a RAm.Which is cool, but I will say he competes and gets away with being extra physical.

I could find another play on RAMsey as well. As far as the TD run he should have stepped up & made the play & if that is a playoff game then I would have been really pissed off.
Samson (OBO will be there) let the RB get outside.Reeder is just a touch slow, but laying out,Troy Hill tried to get there from the Nickle spot & Ramsey is the outside CB that got there late. I wish I had a Upper level angle on that play. The reason why going to a game is good. Those angles are priceless & then watch game at home.

RAMsey is a Ram for awhile, but I have to say I like the Young DB’s. He is a leader & makes everyone around him better, because he is competitive.

Cheers - Niner lost!! Rams play the Cheaters

Big Rob still has the poor moments, but yes his run blocking can be first class at times.
