Because Australia already has freedom and American football, that's why. It's all part of America's foreign policy plan.. First let China slightly embrace capitalism and the internet, then give them football and watch democracy take over.

Asia is pretty cheap, beautiful.. My friends who have gone said they basically lived like royalty for minimal dollars.

Which is why I want to go! ;) lol

Sorry guys, I need to rant here for a second. Bare with me.

The entire move to LA has been ALL about money. Stan Kroenke is only interested in making more money. Winning DOES NOT MATTER TO HIM. I've been against him day freaking one to be the owner.

First, he rips the Rams from STL to become a top revenue team in LA. It still boils my freaking blood how he went about the whole thing. I have been to that great city many times and have friends who's hearts were completely broken because of him. It was bullcrap and everyone knows it.

Second, the minute he gets to LA he starts shining the biggest brightest light on the team. Hardknocks wasn't going to happen in STL. What? Now he cares? Right, because it will make him more money.

Third, he's had the Rams play in London already. Now he wants them to play in China, London again this year and probably whatever other place next season. You know who doesn't play in other countries? The Broncos, Packers, Steelers, Patriots(yeah they play us in London once, they were basically the home team anyway) and Seahawks. You know what they all have in common? THEY freaking WIN GAMES. Does nobody care about that anymore? Have Rams fans gotten so used to losing that a little publicity is all it takes to make us happy?

Listen, I get it. We're going to have a brand new shiny stadium in a few years, we just moved to Hollywood and we have a couple superstars on our team. But I'm really, really sick of Stan attempting to put us on the spotlight by lining his pockets. You know what would make the team money? How about winning 9 freaking games for once.

You are now being switched to your regularly scheduled program.

You're not wrong. Stan is indeed in it for more money.

But NE has been to London twice, and Denver has been over there once. Other "main" teams like the Bears, 49ers, and Giants have been over there too. I don't think playing in another country means the team doesn't care about winning. I think it just means what you simply put: more money.

Btw I'm going to watch us play in China for sure! Anybody else considering it? Also I'm debating on the UK since I was going to Europe anyways...

I'm considering China, wife has always fancied it as her grandfather visited Beijing during WW2 and she wants to retrace his steps. 2018 is far enough away to start thinking / saving for it now. Will depend on the venue though Beijing may not be the stadium to host NFL as Shanghai and Guangdong potentially have suitable venues, I'd prefer Shanghai to be honest.

Also, get yourself to London. Are you on Facebook? Check out the Los Angeles Rams UK group, I am co-admin and am looking to set up a Rams meet for pre game so we can get a group of fellow Rams together for a few beers.

There seems to be a lot of bad information being discussed here.

We were always going to have to play in the International Series as that is part of the deal with playing in a temporary stadium AND for relocating teams, this was known before our move became official.

In the UK the Rams are a relatively minor team in terms of support, even at the Rams v Patriots game a few years ago I only saw / met about a dozen other Rams fans at the game. Late last year was an International Series high when I saw and met about 30 Rams fans pre game. Playing in London helps to strengthen and widen the number of fans our team has, UK fans are pretty loyal and will not (in the main) switch teams so we are a way behind the Cheatriots, Packers and Cowgirls. UK fans LOVE and underdog!!!

Teams playing in the International Series ALWAYS have a bye the following week and have done for 4/5 years, this will not change.

Flight times;
LA to New York - six hours
New York to London - seven hours
LA to London - ten hours
LA to Beijing - twelve hours

Nobody bats an eyelid about teams flying within the US, West Coast to East Coast is about six hours, East Coast to London is seven hours. Hardly any difference at all. However LA to London is ten hours but these guys aren't travelling economy are they! They will have the best seats with plenty of room to move about and relax.

Losing home games sucks for fans but LA isn't losing home games as they had none last year. Playing three International Series games is excellent exposure for the team and that pain will end when the new stadium is ready to move into.

I only wish all of those three International Series games featuring the Rams are in London as I am already a Season Ticker holder, if they play in Germany then I'm all over that for a long weekend beer session / city break.

Are they taking the regular players or is Stan going to use WalMart replacement players?

Damn man I'm not so sure about the UK this year and all. I mean I could do it but I think I might need to go physically to classes in the fall. Believe me id love to go and haven't ruled it out yet. I was there the first few months of last year seeing a girl and would love to watch them play in jolly ol London! I like the UK peeps and get on with them well! It's just I don't know if I can contain myself to just London and can afford it. We shall see... But I'll join that Facebook page what's it called specifically ?

And that's cool your wife wants to retrace those steps in China. I think Shanghai or Shenzen would be a good place to go watch our beloved team! Great Wall, random Kung fu fighting in the streets, and nice again girls to wooz at night time! Sign my ass up! Lol

Los Angeles Rams UK

The UK is an expensive place to visit, especially London and Twickenham is perhaps not the best stadium for NFL. Wembley is a different matter though.

It would be nice if each game was rotated against another NFC west team. That would make it somewhat even for the travel the Rams will be doing every year.

Added it... damn makes me want to really really go now! I'll have to wait until my classes come out to be 100% sure now.
