While I'm glad they didn't give up a TD, I was a little disappointed our top ten defense couldn't keep them from driving down the field in the final two minutes.

still looks to me, on both sides of the ball. Vets and rookies, They are trying sooooo hard to work on thier assignments that they arent allowing natural ability and instincts to impact the play.

We look mechanical at times.

They are playing hard.

This clearly is a team locked onto learning and completing thier individual jobs.

(except for Ogletree, who is using his natural ability and it is failing)

I don't think that they had to, it's possible just to get him 2 minute drills. If it was solely based on calls why was Tree out there also? Dunbar has played MLB in this system, so he knows the calls, TJ makes calls also. JL doesn't play everysnap in pre-season so the backups must know something. I'm not posting to knock JL, I want no part in that discussion, I just don't think that is the reason as to why he was out there.

He missed 1 tackle, and had 2 questionable calls. It still doesn't explain why not subbing Dunbar in.

Why do folks be so critical in preseason??? Isn't the purpose to make evaluations of your players as well as correct mistakes???
