I can't possibly see someone trading for him if they can't do a physical on him and that knee...

A trade could happen "pending physical"

Remember the Saffold to the Raiders a few years ago?

My opinion of him changed after the Championship game with the Saints. He was physically OK to play, but mentally he was in LaLa land. And, last season there were a couple of games that his body language said he wasn't into pass protecting.
When the Rams Zone Blocking scheme is working, EVERY RB for the Rams averages over 3 yards before contact. The Rams don't need a 10-Mil a year RB to score 30 points a game.
I think there's some truth in what you say.

Once again I'll say that I love Gurley but I will agree he has had some issues with his head being in the game. You can see it on the film. Well, to be fair, last year I attributed it to his knee in giving him the benefit of the doubt, but it's there especially early in 2019 where he was just going through the motions compared to later in the season when he was getting more carries. It might have been his knee yes, but...

We also have his behavior at press conferences that was not becoming in a guy who the Rams put forth as a face of the franchise. Something was off with him all season. Maybe he just said "fuck it" because he knew the line was shit. But I agree it goes back to 2018 when CJ was brought in and we saw a brief renaissance in the run game, to include him looking like his old self vs Dallas in the playoffs.

Just my opinion here but IMO Gurley doesn't like sharing the carries. I think he was pissed with CJ's addition and that was part of the reason the Rams kept Brown instead of CJ, because he and Gurley get along. I also think it's why CJ wasn't re-signed mid season when he was available in spite of the fact he knew the offense and could eat carries. And I believe Peete was in his corner and suspect there was some friction with McVay, who is very demanding, which probably had to do with his firing.

Also and btw I don't think we as fans need to have facts to discuss this stuff. We're fans and what we do is share opinions and none of us knows for sure. But either way I believe Gurley being traded will demonstrate that McVay at the least felt he was a distraction behind the scenes in some way. It's gonna hurt too, as he's one of my favorite players.

Tweet was discussed upthread. Not saying it won't happen, but there is not a lot of reason to put stock in what this particular "reporter" says. If he ends up being right, it's the stopped clock, 2x/day thing.
yea , I noticed that , and deleted mine , :palm:

I think McVay resting Gurley didn't sit well with Todd. He didn't look the same in the passing game. I don't want to say he wasn't trying but, he seemed nonchalant. He still had 14 freggin TDs! I still think he has plenty left in the tank. A good trade to save future cap is probably good for the Rams. I was ready to go with Todd Gurley this year. I think he will be just fine. He could have two or three good years left.

Shocking but understandable if this trade is official. I love Gurley but the knee issues really made that contract look bad.

I'm not a twitter guy. The report comes from @DRubinNFL Again, unconfirmed! This tweet is 19hrs old. This guys profile says he's a Bucs beat reporter and writes for The Athletic.

Even I wouldn't make that trade in one of my mocks. It's that unrealistic, and I call bullshit.

If this trade is true watch out the Rams wr room is fucking stacked.
I'm sure we'll take a look at FAs and drafties in the next couple of weeks to fill TGIII big shoes.

On the other hand I feel for TG I love the guy and his running style. Although I feel his attitude was not great last year for whatever reason and it even went as far back as our SB run. With that said if the gameplan this coming season was going to be the same as last with TG I can see the Rams staff being concerned there could be an issue in the locker room. We'll see what happens tho

 Never given it much thought.

But would your cat ever swallow a sock? My Lab did...

My cat tries to steal stuff from the kitchen table, no matter how ill it makes her.

#Beat that.

Idk haha that’s damn impressive:LOL: I’ll try though.

My indoor cat has turned my porch into a bloodbath by catching a bird who flew to close...

For what it's worth, I always liked Trey Mason than Gurley. Go ahead and hate! *yikes! ~ flv
