(But Gagarin is a fucking hero, in my eyes. He died crashing his plane in a field. If he had bailed, the plane would've crashed into a village, killing untold amount of people there. He also tried to save a friend from going up into space with a rocket that he and everyone else knew was flawed, but they wouldn't let him, since he was a national hero.)
