How about Krinkles the Clown? Mascot for the cereal, which was one of the first advertisers for radio version (the 1st) of Gunsmoke in 1952-53. Those who sold ads must have figured out that the audience wasn't children, but adults. They from children's cereal ads to Chesterfield cigs...lol
