With my dad it was his hearing as his scout team, being caught off guard, had to lay perfectly still in the grass for three wet days and freezing nights as the enemy made camp next to them.

Well, hope you get to go home soon. There used to be a good truck stop on the way home in Snowville, UT, at which I would always take a break. I think it burnt down, tho.....
