I thought it was the customers? The worst part of owning/running a business is the employees.

You're right. I also said or she was oblivious to the obvious culture in that sales dept. You are making assumptions without any facts. It doesn't sound like a person looking for a payday.
Customers are easy if youre a good business.I thought it was the customers?

Precisely. Good thing is this will go to court, instead of being handled by the NFL's cronies, so the truth should come out in the wash.Is everyone in this thread just taking this at face value? It could be that her claims are true, and it could be that this is sour grapes after being fired.
.. And 6, NDA's later, we still won't know what happened.Precisely. Good thing is this will go to court, instead of being handled by the NFL's cronies, so the truth should come out in the wash.
I’m not.Is everyone in this thread just taking this at face value? It could be that her claims are true, and it could be that this is sour grapes after being fired.
Or maybe the culture changed and Demoff as he rose didn’t backfill enough management to properly supervise.
I think a lot of assumptions are being made.
Maybe it’s because I only worked in tech and the only place that frat boy bullshit shows up was soliciting government contracts like when I consulted for Computer Sciences Corp, a huge federal IT contractor. They did all sorts of henky and illegal shit and I overheard the executives at our office talking about taking a procurement guy to Vegas. But other than that, and maybe it’s changed, but the job hinged on the deliverables, so great maybe a salesman gets a guy sloshed or laid and he buys the thing. Doesn’t do him much good if it doesn’t work and he’s out of a job.
The only thing routinely bought in IT that was dogshit and you couldn’t get fired for buying was Microsoft…and Microsoft barely returned the calls of Fortune 100 clients, ffs, let alone wined and dined anyone.
So, maybe it’s far more prevalent in sports entertainment, but it’s 2026, man… 1956 was seventy fucking years ago and Madmen was fiction.
This is just a generic statement that shouldn’t be controversial; Just treat everyone with respect and be professional. It’s really not that hard to not be a drunken idiot and no, just because stupid shit used to go on, doesn’t make it right or become an argument for continuing. We’re allowed to aspire to our greater angels, learn from our mistakes and like McVay says, just try to be a little better each day,
Whether it was a freudian slip or not, he referred to the RAMS as the lambs on one of his recent podcasts, immediately 'correcting' himself. It should also be noted that Florio is a douche canoe that never misses an opp to stir shit up about the Rams.... I can't stand him.
And yes, I know he didn't make this up out of thin air, I just hate the twat.
Haha.....they at least are providing business.I thought it was the customers?
It could also be that she's embellishing. I know that's not okay to suggest anymore these days, but there are two major points that immediately make this be a 50/50 deal to me:
She got fired
Its California
For the first point, this is obvious. Anyone who gets fired is going to be angry. And then it being in California, the legal system there is so fucked up that even if someone had a flimsy case, its worth them going after it.
There is easily a world where these drinks she's talking about are happening toward the end of the day, say 3pm-ish, and that its an ingrained part of that culture. The company I work for, prior to going remote, used to drink every Friday afternoon. The one I worked for before this had a branch in a trendy part of town and had beer on tap.
There's also a world where the verbally berating she's talking about are comments that are part of that culture. My current CEO makes 420 and 69 jokes.
You can likely find something to sue a company for if you look hard enough. I'm not saying that invalidates her claims, but to me it does mean this has to play out in court before passing judgement one way or another.
And its possible nobody is getting sloppy drunk at all.
O the flip side, its possible that everyone got sloppy drunk, including her, and that everyone made comments about religion, including her, and she was so angry that she was let go that she decided to pursue this.
There are a ton of possibilities in all this.
She made the complaint before she was terminated. Therefore pretty sure the happenings were going on.
The question is this a retaliatory firing, and if so, it's very illegal.
Her experience looks stellar.Whoops. Even so, there's a chance they were unhappy with her performance and she saw that coming. Though that does make it more likely she's being the honest one in all this
This 100% - this will never make it to court... And 6, NDA's later, we still won't know what happened.

And that's fine if the girl was wronged and ends up compensated by the team. Also it's fine if she's a fuckin drama queen and got what she had comin. I just hope California can get past their BS and deliver a good trial. This 100% - this will never make it to court.
