Well 45 and under he's fine. Just expect a coin flip if he has to kick longer than that. Likes to miss a random xp once in a while too. Meh.

90% on FGAs the past two seasons ... 9-of-11 on 50+ yard-FGAs last year.

Not quite Matt Gay's 94% the past two seasons but those are Quality Numbers.

Now, Extra-Point-Attempts in the Playoffs??? ... Next Topic!

Well, I remember when the Bucs fans were not sorry to see Matt Gay leave. Maybe Maher can find his groove in LA? He has plenty of experience. And plenty of ups and downs.

He was 9/11 on kicks 50+, with a long of 60 last year.

It was his odd lapses on XPs that did him in w/Dallas.

Nice move if the price is right. He is one of the better kickers in the NFL. Definitely had a case of the yips on extra points in the playoffs against Tampa Bay. If not for that he’d still be kicking for the Cowboys. I’d keep Tanner Brown on the practice squad and let him learn and develop. I think Maher is going to be just fine kicking in So Fi.Rams got a good look at him during joint scrimmages and apparently liked what they saw.

Yep, last year was by far his best year statistically so hopefully that's a sign of improvement and not just luck compared to rest of his career. Hopefully he can handle pressure situations a bit better going forward.

He has certainly been "around the block", as they say.....

I’d rather have an avg leg kicker that’s money inside 40-45
over a power guy who can hit from over 50 but is inconsistent overall.

They signed the right kicker now let’s see if coaching can help improve his game as he has the tools to be elite. Based on past seasons he is a solid vet signing but I hope they sign another to the PS in case

So what did they really save by cutting Gay and then ending up with Mahr?
A lot.

Looks like Maher gets around $1 Mil a year.

Click the link to get details on Gay's new deal details. Big money for a kicker. Look at the first two years of a four-year deal.

POTENTIAL OUT: 2025, 2 YR, $13,000,000; $4,000,000 DEAD CAP
