OOPSWell, his name is Lucas, but maybe just maybe, Crosby made all of his FG's and McVay has forgotten what that has looked like.

This. Or Havrisik looked iffy in that late week practice.Could be that Mason was better than Lance in practice than McVay expected.
Agree. What I don’t get is why this guy is getting so much leeway compared to Maher. This guy is worse.Lucas Havrisik made 64.2% of his FG's in college at Arizona. That's really pretty terrible. 34 of 53 overall. He was only 9 of 14 on FG's his senior year, so it's not like his stats showed steady improvement, either.
To my eye, his accuracy looked awful for several kicks in the last 2 games.
Hope I'm wrong, but I don't understand why the Rams think he's gonna suddenly solve his accuracy problems. Yeah, he's got a big leg. But he's got a track record of being pretty inaccurate for the last 5 years.

Why is he still on the roster?Havrisk was done after the game last week.
Rams were hedging their bets all week, now that Crosby is good to go, he’s the new K “right now”
Same reason Bobby Evans was.Why is he still on the roster?
Well.. we know that's not the case.. because no one carries a backup kicker.Same reason Bobby Evans was.
Does it matter? He ain’t the kicker anymore after a 2nd straight terrible game.
Something different in that McVay wanted to see how the 40 year old leg held up after a couple days of practice? Likely.Well.. we know that's not the case.. because no one carries a backup kicker.
I mean.. we'll see.. but the fact that he's still there is something different.
That sounds like one good reason.Something different in that McVay wanted to see how the 40 year old leg held up after a couple days of practice? Likely.
The dude can’t kick. Doesn’t matter how strong his leg is. Like others have said, he’s never been good, no reason to think that will change at the highest level in the sport

I'm not understanding the Gay comparison? Gay hit only 77% and got cut because of it, was considered a bust. That sounds like one good reason.
I'm just not as sure on the second part. Like I pointed out.. he's hitting 70%.. Gay hit 77% as a rookie.
But maybe 70% is his ceiling, not his floor.
again, my guess is he will be "inactive" for Sundays game, and depending how Crosby does i the shit weather, they have the option to send either back to the PSWhy is he still on the roster?
You don’t understand the Gay comparison?I'm not understanding the Gay comparison? Gay hit only 77% and got cut because of it, was considered a bust.
Outside of being kickers, what possible correlation could be made? You don’t understand the Gay comparison?
Really?
CorrectWeird.
So as of right now the Rams have 2 kickers on their 53-man roster?
So Havrisik will be inactive tomorrow since Crosby was elevated to active roster?
lol.Outside of being kickers, what possible correlation could be made?
Gay, incredible college kicker, 5th round pick has terrible rookie season where he ranked 24th in FG and XP conversion %
Havrisik. Mediocre college career at best, bounced around PS for a season and now has missed at least 1 kick in 4 straight games. His misses arent close and some of his makes are nerve wracking
