I can’t help but imagine how great it would be if one of the Rams off-ball-LBs had instincts and intelligence to know where to be and where to go; AND enough athleticism to GET THERE.

Then I go the Boobies and Booty threads, and my imagination takes me to a totally different place.

Seriously, I’m not talking about high pick or an expensive free agent. Just want an investment of a mid-round draft choice or a moderately priced veteran free agent.
We grew up with great Rams l bebackers and a few very good ones. I miss it. I’d love to talk to McVay and Snead and try to understand their thoughts on the position, because I don’t understand it.

I’m holding out hope that the poor run defense last season sparks them to reconsider the position.

6 pages covering So Rams exhaustive thoughts on every connected and dis connected history of rams players and drafts as he saw fit for the current discussion of a landman Signing.

8 pages of So Ramblings about trading up but letting the board fall to you for a position we never pay money for. But hey we know we're trading up but only after we let the board fall to us.

Sorry even when I try to ramble I can't match So Rambling.
You all know our rules about keeping it about the post not the poster. But holy fuck does he make that difficult. It’s really something.

SoRam, to me, is that grandfather - who got into various shit as a young man and never really recovered - who rambles on and on about various shit, and you just sit, smile, and nod.

But he’s ours, and we love him for it.

Yeah. Don’t get me wrong. I like having him around and I think he gives some pretty good insight at times. I’m just not sure he reads that little “think before you post” part in the reply window.

It is SO difficult to read a great many of his posts and figure out what he’s trying to get across. As he’s said himself, sometimes he just spins out.

If you’re reading this SoRam, you’re an interesting character and member here. Keep being you.

But could you please read your posts before hitting “post reply”?

I feel ashamed at not being able to match the eternally-great R. Lee Ermey. :(

There are reasons I stayed away from this thread.
Its a vet minimum LB deal. And I watched the page count go up, made no sense.
"So" I figured it must be full of gobblygook.
I was right.

We had one of these mid-round picks invested in Ernest Jones. Did it make a huge difference?

It probably would have made a difference this past season had the Rams not given Jones away.

You don't think the 2024 Rams' Defense would have been better with Ernest Jones at off-ball-Linebacker?

I sure do!
