I have tracked each kick (FG, punt, kickoff, convert) in the CFL for several years now. I have field goal splits for every CFL kicker dating back to 2003.

I also work for the CFL as a member of the game day stats crew in Vancouver. I have access to several statistical reports that are made available to league staff and members of the media.

Note worthy: As a rookie, Lirim Hajrullahu won the place kicking job by beating out Brett Maher.

Keep on sharing!

Despite signing two kickers and I assume the contract won't effect the top 51 roster sports I would draft a kicker in Rd 6.
Nothing worst that a bunch of missed easy FG's and possibly losing a game because of a stinkin' kicker
see seahawks game last season

Rams showing interest in Miami (Ohio) kicker Sam Sloman

After losing Greg Zuerlein to the Cowboys in free agency, the Los Angeles Rams took a little time to find a potential replacement. And then on the same day, they agreed to terms with two kickers from different leagues: Lirim Harjullahu of the CFL and Austin MacGinnis of the XFL.

But it’s possible neither of them actually replaces Greg Zuerlein. The Rams still have the draft as a chance to add another kicker, and it seems they’re showing interest in one of the top prospects in the class.

According to Justin Melo of Draft Wire, the Rams are showing interest in Miami (Ohio) kicker Sam Sloman.

In his career at Miami, Sloman made 49 of his 62 field goal attempts, a rate of 79%. He also made 112 of his 115 extra-point tries (97.4%). Last season was by far his best year, making 86.7& of his FG attempts, including an impressive 11-for-14 rate from beyond 40 yards.

The Rams have emphasized the importance of a kicker’s accuracy from 40-49 yards after Zuerlein went just 5-for-11 last year, and Sloman was 12-for-15 in his career from that range.

Watched this kid (Sloman) kick a 49 Yard FG Game winner in the MAC Championship against Center Michigan in bad weather, one heck of a kick and always loved Sean McVay's alum being the Cradle of Coaches.

I doubt the rams use a draft pick on a kicker at this point. That's why they signed the two kickers. But, that doesn't mean that grabbing one as an UDFA is out of the question. I kind of expect they will, frankly.

I concur, I don't think they will draft a kicker.

There’s a wager to be made on that. Thank you, @flv

I just wagered “yes”.

Wow, awesome to have a CFL stats junkie on board when we've just signed a CFL kicker!

What is your take on Hajrullahu's accuracy (or lack thereof) from 40-49 yards? His conversion rate (both last year and over career) from 40-49 really concerns me, although everything else about him sounds great.

Hajrullahu's success rate from 40-49 is low by CFL standards with the best kickers in the 75-81% range & one current kicker sitting at 90.3%.

In the CFL, the goalposts are on the goal line and the end zone is 20 yards deep which means that most missed field goals are returned. With linemen on the field goal cover teams as opposed to linebackers on the punt teams there is good chance of a big return. Some kickers (including Hajrullahu) just seem to be more focused on longer kicks.

Any weather stats on him?

Lirim Hajrullahu kicked for Hamilton, which is considered the most difficult stadium and weahter to kick in, so that gives him a slight edge....IMO, I still believe Austin MacGinnis will win the job because he's very accurate...Good in college and has been improving his craft in the Alliance League & XFL.
