Well... I may be reaching.... but IF we move on from Speights and draft Sonny Styles... this would fill a special teams spot that you wouldn't get from styles

Some of you may want to read-up on this guy.

There's some really interesting and up-lifting stuff about his difficult up-bringing and perseverance.

Looks like a wild-man but really seems like a guy to root for; and will be easy to appreciate on Special Teams.

Signing may indicate that the Rams are serious about up-grading Special Teams, and giving Ray Ventrone a few players that can make a difference. With five draft picks between 205-and-252 overall, I would not be surprised if one or two were selected primarily for what they can do on Teams.

I am guessing Grant Stuard is going to become a fan favorite ... and ... That Hair! ... Come-on!!! ...

Why minimize the signing of anyone willing to come to the Rams?
Not minimizing, I just noticed that someone posted it in the FA thread a couple mins after I posted this. I didn't know if it needed its own thread, but I guess we should have a thread for all RAMS FA signings. Sounds like this guy is a good story, so gonna check it out. :clinkingbeer:

It's really easy to search a name. You can do it in every browser with many different search engines. One of the first results I found was this.

The main thought of the article?

Los Angeles Rams poach special teams ace from Detroit Lions.

I have to admit I don't know much about this guy but for that kind of dough Snead and the coaches must think he is a fit. I think we all know the Rams need as much help as they can get on special teams.

Vet minimum for a guy with 5 years experience is basically $1.2 million a year. For a contract to be "up to" $5.05 million for 2 years he can basically double the vet minimum. This isn't a lot if he's the special teams stud I'm reading he is then we got a bargain here.
