I can't keep up with the zig and zag here.
You asked why Staley got a gig.. he was coming off a season with the #1 defense that no one saw coming and was seen as a wunderkind.
Morris will be coming off a season with a 5-12 team.. maybe.. and a defense in the middle-to-lower end of the league.
Why is someone hiring that? And how do they sell their fanbase on it? Which new HC was hired from a coordinator position off a team with a record that bad last year? None.
Anything is possible.. but if the Rams season keeps going the way it's trending? I don't see it.

The team looks defeated whether you like it or not people don’t give a f anymore. Nobody looks like they give a f even Mcvay. Does Kroenke and Demoff sit McVay down and question his motives on continuing to coach this team or what? I am just having a hard time believing this team sunk that quick. Not looking like a strong locker room atm.

Yes, without those injuries Dipshit Evans wouldn't be seeing the field, who in turn got QB1 hurt. Which may have also led to Kupp getting hurt and so on and so forth. We would quite literally be just fine if we didn't have the enormous amount of O Line injuries this season.

Yeah, minimum they would look like a defending SB champ with a hangover that was 6-4 with a chance to make a run.

But did that warrant a HC offering? The chargers D isn’t great, but they are playing average football. I even heard people on this board say hire Staley back when he gets fired! I mean jesus is he really that bad to where he will end up here again?

Again.. zigging and zagging. Did it warrant that? Fuck if I know.
I know a team has to sell a coaching hire to it's fanbase.. and that it's easier to sell someone coming in hot like Staley than cold like Morris will be.
And as far as Staley's future? Really hard to tell. I don't see the Spanos family being able to hire a Asshole Face.. but getting a really good OC could really help.

Not zig zagging I am staying on point. I am using your premises to my argument. And that is simply if Staley got a coaching gig why can’t Morris? You think this season will disqualify him because of how this season is going? Simple yes or no? I hope he gets a HC job or takes his Defense elsewhere.

First off.. "disqualifying" is your term.. I didn't use it.
I said I don't see other teams hiring him coming off a shit season. I get that you disagree with that.
Feel free to find me the example of a coordinator on a shit team getting an HC gig in the offseason. And, let's be clear.. the Rams are a shit team this year.
I'd be very happy if he got an HC gig because the Rams will get a pick.. but he's already working against a league bias against defensive coaches (and black head coaches).. and Demeco Ryans is getting hired ahead of him *this year*.

The amazing thing about McVay is how long he survived this: The Rams have been the #1 team always getting their assistant coaches stolen to go coach other teams. And he still won a Superbowl! Unreal what he has done with the revolving door of assistant coaches. It became a joke that if you even spoke to the guy, you could become a new head coach or coordinator.
On another note, it's also crazy how many catchable balls last year are now just a little bit high, low, behind or dropped this season.
The silver lining, if we keep losing, our strength of schedule next year should be significantly easier than this years brutal schedule.

First off I never said you did. Secondly the premise is If Staley can get an HC job why can’t Morris? You said because of this shitty season teams will look passed him? But will they? For all you know they might hire him for the way his players standup for him, or perhaps his character I don’t know, but what I do know that all this shitting on him has got so old that he deserves better and I hope he takes his services elsewhere…
