Why is there no news about who is being cut here and there? Do the Rams beat writers just suck?

These OL releases will be interesting..... with one new injury during the game to the lower leg of OG/ORT Garrett Reynolds, the nagging all TC & pre season knee of swing OT Isaiah Battle, slow return of ORT Rob Havenstein big broke toe who has been MIA since before OTA's having just returned to full practice less than a week ago. Should add the serious brain cloud ailment of OLT Darrell Williams too.

If the Rams expected some long term issues with lets say Reynolds or Battle with IR being considered its going to have some bug implications in these expected cuts to OL'ers like OG/OC David Arkin, OLT Darrell Williams, OLT Pace Murphy & OC Demetrius Rhaney. The injury to Reynolds has OG/ORT Andrew Donnal lucky 2016 season continuing ....since they are both reserves & both back up the same positions. With Reynolds being much more OG & Donnal being much more OT. Plus since Donnal is the first reserve to the ailing Havenstein.

Left hanging as far as we know are Arkin/Rhaney/Murphy/Battle/Williams. If they are waviered its not the end of the world. Rhaney/Murphy/Battle/Williams could be considered for the Rams practice squad while David Arkin is not eligible . Eight Ram Ol'ers Saffold/ Robinson/ Barnes/ Brown/ Wichmann/ Havenstein/ Reynolds & Donnal all appear safe & secure @ the moment.

This one is a head-scratcher. Although he's now on the wrong side of 30, Sitton has been a second-team All Pro each of the past three seasons, and hasn't missed a game since 2011. He was Pro Football Focus' No. 5 overall guard last year. The move saves $6.85 million, but if the Pack were interested in saving cash, it's unclear why the move wasn't made in the spring. No, the deadline is 4pm EST and all teams have cuts to report
There are last minute trades and posturing going on.
Keep in mind that the majority of Rams cuts that were announced coincidentally had Hard Knocks ties. So I'm sure they wanted that business out of the way before really sharpening the pencil

I didn't really word my post correctly. Other teams are having their cuts posted on twitter by beat writers, NFL reporters, etc but none today from the Rams. It is interesting

There was a reason for this called Bryan Bulaga who will be an all pro LG if he remains healthy & the cap money tied up in a OG.

Our backup O-lineman scare me a bit. Picking up a vet like Sitton wouldnt be the worst thing imo. 30 isnt too old for a OG.

I would agree with you...cuz I have some concerns too in the area of reserve OLT & OC but OLG would not get any of my many concerns. But you are right this ex Pac OLG is a dandy of a hard nose OL'er who is sure to find work very fast for OLG needy teams.

I think its all relative. I know more Rams cuts than I do know Giants/Jets cuts. We just found out a lot of them right away

They're announcing them. Look at the NFL tracker, they report on cuts that have hit the transaction wire, Rams only put two.

Other than fostering good relationships with the media, what does the club gain by releasing that information? Maybe there's some reason I hadn't thought of. I guess every team has it's strategy or protocols. The Bills and Titans seemed to announce all of their cuts at one time yesterday. Some teams haven't announced any at all.
