that's been the report, i have not personally verifiedDidn't Evans have fumble issues in college?
Boreus was the oc in 2016.

With Gurley's talent he was a generational player, Akers is pretty good, but no where in Gurley's class. Also when Gurley arrived in St Louis, his fist comment was about the middle school offence the Rams were usingTodd Boras OC STL Rams 2015

Meh… you’re in charge of yourself and it’s up to you to conduct yourself what you need to do.
Cam Akers is not our solution at RB and our FO knows it. Just like everyone wanting to Pead to work out… it’s not in the cards unless he has a Gurley MVP season, i guarantee he doesn’t have the grit for that. MVP type players are on their own path and it doesn’t matter what a shitty coach does for the most part, they do their own thing and grind themselves.
That give zero pass to Akers and his drama. His days are numbered.
Yes, we're all 'in charge' of ourself but sometimes we're talking about players who have been pampered their entire lives. Now they're getting paid a mil per (or more), which doesn't change things for the better. I think some of the blame might lay with Samples. He's gone so there's that.Todd Boras OC STL Rams 2015

Yes but he lives in Australia or something doesn't he. Where toilets flush backwards and refs wear funny hats. The point was that kurtfaulk falsely made was was Gurley did poorly because of a poor coach.
If I were to make a BOLD prediction it is that this guy is the talk of preseason.BTW... that Tiyon Evans looks like a bowling ball from hell. Really interested to see if he's got anything in him.
Akers hater! If I were to make a BOLD prediction it is that this guy is the talk of preseason.
But, I REALLY want to see him play at the NFL level before being THAT confident. You just don’t know who levels up from college.
He just looks like a stud on tape to me... 5’9” 225lbs of compact muscle, good speed, power, and balance. Guys like him tend to make it next level and come out of nowhere.
I will claim it! Akers hasnt "Wow"-ed me but the kid can play. I honestly hope he doesn't carry the rock more than 50% of the time. I would rather the carries be given to our "RB by commitee".Akers hater!
I pray the dude can stay healthy this year. Given that I think he will finally be the guy they thought they drafted.I still like Akers. The achilles injury while working out in the off-season was a big blow. Those things happen to a lot of players. He worked hard and made it back and help the Rams win the Super Bowl. Let's see what he does and worry about resigning or not for 2024. Should be some good competition for PT in the RB room.
Yep I remember now Boras took over after Cignetti was fired after our loss in week 13 apparently. Gurley still had 885 6 TD’s and 335 rec yards in boras’s shit season.Boreus was the oc in 2016.

That is true but we are talking about effort here not talent and crying about every thing isn’t perfect for you to do your job. Don’t mind when I tag you when we trade or let this Whitney baby split. With Gurley's talent he was a generational player, Akers is pretty good, but no where in Gurley's class. Also the offense changes 100% with players coming back from injury and whatever McVay did to stop the crying baby throwing a fit and start being a football player again is what made the difference. That’s why we drafted all captains this year in the draft, no more little selfish bitches throwing pity parties.Yes, we're all 'in charge' of ourself but sometimes we're talking about players who have been pampered their entire lives. And though Akers is not, nor ever will be Todd Gurley.....
Akers under Samples.....51 carries, 151 yds, 1 TD (2.9)
Akers under Brown.........287 carries, 1263 yds, 8 TD (4.4)
In just 2022:
Under Samples......51-151, 1 TD (2.9)
Under Brown......137-635, 6 TD (4.6)
On the subject of the thread, I'm thrilled with the RB possibilities for 2023.....Akers, Williams, Evans and Evans. I think improvement on the OL can have a strong affect on whomever of those 4 are used.
I don't know about that. Akers is still here and Samples is gone. You know, we think we have a handle on all things Rams but we don't really know. We're just guessing most of the time. Maybe Akers was a whiny bitch or maybe Samples was an asshole. We tend to give the coaches the benefit of the doubt. Idk man the only reason Akers is still here because we couldn’t find a trading partner otherwise he’d be somewhere else.I don't know about that. Akers is still here and Samples is gone. And our OL was shit and Fisher micro managing the OC had something to do with it I might add.He ran at 3.2 yards a pop. That's horrible. That's why he had the shits and called boreus out.

The point is Gurley had a lot more issues than shitty coaching and he still produced almost a 1000 yards and decent TD’s withThe point being, Gurley couldn't overcome shit coaching and scheme. Same as Akers who was rushing at 3 yards a pop early last season. When he came back he was much better and in the last month of the season he rushed over 5 yards a pop every game. He was smoking.

Rodger Saffold

Cody Wichmann
Rob Havenstein
With Case Kennum starting the majority of the games.
How you can going to stop our offense? Load the box.
Going to sit here and tell me with a straight face it was only the poor coaching?
