I know it's meaningless and preseason, but losing to the Raiders angers me for some reason.

I Iike Webster and Bachman as the 5th & 6th WRs, with Webster as a return guy.

I wonder if they could trade Thomas or Hodge for a 7th to a WR needy team like the Giants?

Only thing I didn't like was Allen at QB for so much of the game, his presence shortened drives and made it harder to evaluate the weapons. Hopefully Wolford gets QB3 reps from here on out.

Reeder 95 LB.
Seemed to have a decent feel and made some tackles. Seemed physical.
Neary improved pass blocking. Still not much push on the run game.
Wolford much better touch on his ball than Allen.

Arden Key is playing in the 4th..Gruden, dude...lol

Raiders have excellent DL depth. Westbrooks was in there pretty late too, he's a mismatch for most 3rd+ string types.

Preseason nothing to really take away....Taylor Rapp looked great, Dominique Hatfield, very good special teams player, but can't cover a bed. The backup Offensive Linemen all played bad including Demby and in all my years of playing, coaching and watching football I have never seen anyone called for a false start on a kneel down...WOW!

Natrez Patrick had a good game and John Wolford is much better than Brandon Allen, Johnny Mundt has nothing to worry about so far and Nsimba Webster has some wiggle and @VeteranRamFan was right about him, but KhaDarel Hodge played well and Brock "freakin" Miller looks like Ram took him out of a backyard....Overall, tough game to watch and let's hope the boys upfront improve because Aaron Neary looked better than Demby, Evans & Edwards including a few whiffs of Kolone.

Very sloppy. Most of these guys won't even sniff the roster for regular season. We might have to look for some OL and LB depth. Thems my thoughts

Other than Rookies it seems this game was played by camp bodies with not shot of making the team. It was hard to watch.

Well that game was fairly ugly. But what made it worse are the Raider announcers. That lady has got to be the worst announcer in the league. I can't stand her voice.

As someone said earlier tonight - nails on the chalkboard voice.

However, I would like to see Bortles play with a couple of 1s to really see how he does.

For a WR Thomas is a good special teams guy. He can tackle.

Talent is there with some of these guys. To think of all the players that get cut & can still play. That’s why I wish there could be an established league after the season. Maybe it’s the expense of so many player. Travel , lodging, flights, ext... It’s not for the lack of talent & game itself. There needs to be some
Tradition made though.
Pipe dream , but it is fun to guess who might make it. The guys I like won’t make it ??? Well 50/50 . Ramon Richards vs S. Parker ?? Both were practice squad guys.
This kid from Penn St.(Scott) will make it before they do. Players really establish them self’s sometimes just by getting put in the fire during desperation of need. Next player up, then can be hard to replace them once placed in a certain spot.

If theres one thing ive learned about reading this thread its that we have too many Allen's. No idea which one you guys were talking about.

Wade has three good-looking first year ILB'ers with Reeder, Travon Howard & Dakota Allen. Fox was the only DL'er who was solid & got pressure. All the Rams Safeties look strong & solid.

5th corner Hatfield who started the first half was awful. The 6th outside corner Darious Williams fared much better. I liked what I saw. Nice to see corner Kevin Peterson back in action after tearing his ACL last year. Peterson appears like he is #7th outside corner.

Wade loves his 2-4-5 defense.

The offense was not good.....positives .... LT/LG David Edwards! Main reserve center Aaron Neary played well into the 4th quarter ...making the OL calls seemed to keep things together with mostly rookies in the lineup. Right side OL'er Bobby Evans was solid playing RT/RG. Rookie WR's Bachman & Webster made some good plays!

I can offer up a counter argument that he has not had a full chance to step up Ram65.First was he was a Medical Red Flag @ the time of the NFL draft. Yes he did have a chance last TC & was released but did return to secure a roster spot later.

Young also was one of many who were in contention early for a roster spot. Veterans Morgan Fox, Dom Easley, Matt Longacre, Ryan Davis were fighting early for a spot @ ER/OLB'er. Other youngsters like Samson Ebukam, Justin Lawler, Brian Womac, Ejuan Price, Marcus Martin, Carlos Thompson & Garrett Sickels were here.

That's a large amount of players fighting it out for four roster spots.

Agree, he might make it as a rotation guy. The Rams do have a lot of talent. Young is solid, but really isn’t above average except consistency. He is not a difference maker.

The Oline is going to take a lot of heat for this one.

But one thing to point out is how much these guys were shuffled around during this game. I think it's great learning experience for all of them.

This has to be a Kromer/Mcvay strategy.

I know I at least saw rookies Evans and Edwards flip at tackle positions from one series to another.

Demby played at least 4 positions from my counting - he didn't have a great showing but he's a second year guy being asked to play 4 positions in one game. I feel like he has to have something Kromer sees - I would assume mentally just with that ability to play so many positions. He also looked good out in space blocking a few times.

I noticed Neary making a few good blocks from the center position.

More than anything from this game I take the flags were bad and far too often. Like Mcvay has said we have to fix what we control.

Overall I think this game will be a good takeaway for some growth.

Wasn't able to catch the game, other than not really doing much, anything note worthy?

I'm not really worried about preseason, especially game 1 of it, just interested if anyone stood out, good or bad. How was the BOAT? His stats didn't seem good.
