Certainly B is true. While A might be more that they think it is possible and thus worth the dice roll. That’s more 2025-2026 salary commitment than I expected. This tells me either:
A) Rams are very confident in his talent and they can turn him into a playable CB; or
B) the Rams are desperate & scared shetless about their current CBs and need to take these risks to find some playable guys.
Couple Practice Squad moves today.Yes, it was Charles Woods ... per the Rams' Team site.
Perhaps they hope to re-sign Woods to the Practice Squad.

Charles Woods was indeed signed to the PS.
DL Cory Durden and TE Miller Forristall are no longer listed on the PS.
Two new D-Linemen are on the Practice Squad ... Jack Heflin and Kevin Strong.
If he was playing like a first round pick, he would not have been available. But, during his time in the NFL, has he truly graded out as a first round talent?
Regardless, I'd be surprised to even see him on the field this season.
Can cover zone or man, but, is a good zone guy reportedly.Agreed. He fits perfectly what the Rams want from their secondary. They want ball hawks who can cover ground. He's definitely both of those things.
Actually, I know Miller, and he would have stayed even after Higbee returns. Reason he is not a Ram is he was hurt and needs surgery, so he took an injury settlement and will try again after surgery and rehab. Probably elsewhere though……
Guess you have to figure Forristall was a goner with Higbee close to a return.
Looks like it's only $1.3M next year and $1.9M in 26'. Is that really that bad? And there is no dead cap hit if released. That’s more 2025-2026 salary commitment than I expected. This tells me either:

Kevin Strong played decently for the Cards last year (2 1/2 sacks). He had a personal issue that led to his release last year. It was not reported as to what it was...sounds like they were considering bringing him back this year, but inevitably didn't.Couple Practice Squad moves today.

Dude do we even use the star much any more?Wondering where the Rams use him. Guessing Star. Though I suspect he would be best outside the hash.
I assume Lake is in that role when they do. But I also think he is not good enough.Dude do we even use the star much any more?

Reports are that he's to to 180 now. Exactly the same weight as Durant. They're practically clones. Can cover zone or man, but, is a good zone guy reportedly.
I think he can be what they were hoping Durant would be.
I prefer to keep Durden over GallimoreCouple Practice Squad moves today.

I think Lake, with his length, is a good match up on 3rd down covering a good TE. WR's not so much, outside of maybe your possession type WR.I assume Lake is in that role when they do. But I also think he is not good enough.
I'm just happy they got someone over 5'9".Can cover zone or man, but, is a good zone guy reportedly.
