70+ is really good for PFF. The DL looked good. Other than that, it was a poor showing.

Seeing Speights at the bottom of this grade list is troubling.
Not seeing Landman's name at all is problematic.
I would think that Lake will improve after getting back into game speed playing, prior to next week's game.
Forbes was not bad again.

The extra day for Lake to recover is helpful as well.

It might be a luxury, but a beast off the ball LB like Sonny Styles could make this defense special. He is projected by some to be taken between 13-20. Long way to go yet, but have seen many mocks with him in that range.

Forbes did a nice job redeeming himself from that first Panther game.
Forbes, I thought, did a very good job on who he was matched up with in coverage (Young mostly picked on our safeties and Durant and ignored Forbes, but he did well when he needed to.), and made a key third down stop on one drive. I think the grade is accurate, and yeah, I completely agree, Woodie; he did well this game.

Feel like I need to give some props to Jackson. Been on his ass since we signed him, worrying about OT of the future due to the bloodclots, but the dude has been a rock for us.

Gotta get Dotson back this week. I want to see this OL play like they were in that stretch where we had our best five and they were in the zone.

Lake's interesting, he was moving around making plays in the 1st quarter and then I think he got gassed and anything where he had to run with guys was a problem.

Horns up Rams brothers! In what world could the Rams suffer a punt block late in the 4th quarter that led to an opponent TD to take the lead and the Rams still go om to advance to the next round? I can't recall any incident like this. I recall us having a superior team to the vi-queens in the 70's but suffering 2 blocked punts in a playoff game and the result was an ugly and heart breaking loss.

Did those teams have Matt Stafford?

This is the Soul Stealer's world, my friend, and the Soul Stealer has decreed, "I desire a good jacket, and I don't mean one from Kmart either!!!"

That tracks with what I saw in the game. Just a lot of below standard play for us across the board.

McVay talked about Adams and Lake and having to shake off some rust, so I'm hopeful they'll be better. Even if Dotson is a bit rusty, huge improvement over Dedich.

We need Verse and the DL to dominate this game Sunday for us to win....our rush was decent against Caroline, but if we repeat that performance, Williams will run all over the field and then toss 35 yard passes all day

I would say "not as huge as you think"...Dedich is a comer in my book...all that kid needs is experience. He's a good run blocker needing to improve in pass blocking. He just got plenty of "on the job training" so we know if K Dot were to go down again there's not this "huge drop off" and the OLine will be stable.

I don’t know if it’s due to the play calling or personnel, but recently our Ilbs haven’t been standing out in the run game like they were earlier in the year.

THIS!!!

I think sometimes that "INTENSITY and URGENCY" is just not consistently there...FIND IT AND EXECUTE!!!

Everyone you hear talk about the Rams in these games are CONCERNED ABOUT THE DEFESNSE!!!

I said before "some teams are just a problem for you"...is that gonna be the case with the Bears???

Lake is definitely "the defensive leader" and against the Panthers in that last drive THE DEFENSE WAS ON POINT!!!

Let's look for that CONSISTENTLY against the Bears!

Carolina has a strong line. When your DL isn't dominating, life is a lot harder on the ILBs.

I think our ILBs are solid but they aren't gonna overcome the DL being handled and blockers getting second level.
