Goff did exactly what he had to do for the Rams to win, I would not trade him for any QB in the NFL with possible exception of Mahomes

What we saw tonight is what I’d expect against KC, should this Super Bowl occur: absolutely destroying in time of possession. Mahomes can’t do much when he’s on the sideline

Running and good defense gave the Niners a lead in the SB. But Mahomes is like Wilson and can’t strike at any moment

Was Goff really any good? Im not a Goff hater but he was not very good last night imo.
He was very good I’m not putting the int on him ... it’s was one of the weirdest I’ve ever seen .. the dB literally snatched it of woods grasp .... he made two great sneaks on 4th (it’s not a part of his game that gets talked about because it’s so situational but he is great at sneaks ) he didn’t have to do much last night when cam is tearing it up to the tube of 175 and like 6 yards a carry
He made the throws he needed to make despite the pats shutting down the boot legs ... he had a good game all in all .. even if it wasn’t off the charts statistically ... which lets be honest doesn’t really matter because when he does have a good game statistically.. to the haters it doesn’t count

Another thought is, oofda, Leonard Floyd is really heating up. Not sure we can keep him with what he'll command as a FA.

And I'm not sure how he is vs Fowler was for us or if it's the same thing.

Actually the INT is on him. It was a horrible throw to a wide open receiver. If Woods doesnt have to reach back for the ball there is no INT. Good pass would of been a 1st down. Just because I dont think he played well does not mean I think he had a bad game either. I just dont think his play was very relevant in the result of the game....its ok for that to happen. The run game and defense controlled the game. We didnt need much from Goff and that is not a bad thing. Hope that makes sense.

Goff played well, converted two 4th downs (one of which was a TD) and threw a laser to Kupp for a TD. We don’t need Goff to be Mahomes, we just need him to be efficient and not turn the ball over.

There were a couple throws that weren't good enough and a couple that were that were good enough but were dropped.

I came away from the game thinking this as well. If we do not drop any balls last night, the blowout would have been bigger. Josh Reynolds drops one or two a game.

Hats off to Floyd, Donald, Akers, and the offensive line. We really need to give Fox a shout as well with two sacks of the six in the second half.

Why am I holding my breath every time the special teams unit gets on the field? I haven't had to do that in a while.

The goff suff on both sides is annoying... we win.. nanana bobooo told you he was good... we lose... nanana booboo told you he sucks.

Now people just reach for whatever to prove what side they want to argue.

We really don;t need to argue about Goff every game do we?

My initial thoughts: The Rams have maybe the best defense in the league and a decent offense. We have been to, and felt the pain in, that big dance twice with a prolific offense. Defense win's championships. Maybe it's the victory Friday koolaid, but I honestly believe we have a chance to take home the Lombardi this season!

They would probably say they ‘should’ have made those catches; and they ‘could’ made the catches ... Woods probably ‘would’ have completed the catch but for the CB being on top of him and taking the ball away.

However, better passes would have made them easy completions.
QB's probably throw 10 or more passes a game that they would have liked to place in a better spot for a catch so I'm not sure why Goff is under a microscope for better ball placement on his every pass. The pass to Brown there were 2 Pats in his face and I would say 75% or more RB's in the league WOULD have made that catch.

The only thing that gives me pause is Kansas City in the AFC. We have not faced a test like them all year, and probably will not, unless we play the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. I am not entirely sure if the Chiefs can be stopped, with that QB, those weapons, and Andy Reid drawing up the plays. The only time the Chiefs seem to be able to be slowed down, is when the Chiefs look disinterested and play down to the level of their competition. It will be an interesting matchup, should we see it.

I think we could limit the Chiefs. Hill would demand a safety over the top and I'm not sure who we would want on Kelce. I honestly believe if our O protects the ball we would be able to win or make it a close contest.

I'd like to talk about Troy Reeder. I don't think Kiser gets his job back. What a great position for the Rams to be in. Champagne problems

Reeder has been lights out lately. I can't believe that LB depth looks so good right now considering what we all thought before the season. I thought it would be hot garbage. Happily eating my crow!

At least I think that was Reeder, if I'm mistaken I'm sure someone will point it out.

Yeah, Reeder took away the pitch man and Hollins stuffed the attention whore.

I was trying to put these thoughts in to words, and couldn't. Thank you for doing it for me. Lol
If a WR gets 2 hands on a ball, it should be caught. However, you throw low and behind a WR, you can get him killed. Was a bad pass, but result of an INT was unjustified.

So then that's the agreement after his next game that's less than ideal too?

It seems funny to me that people can love discussing him when he has a bad game but a couple good games in a row and now its all too much?
It was always too much.

Thats not directed at you personally, but the crowd that can't wait to criticize him at every opportunity.

Honestly this game we didn't really need to pass much to win.. and that was obviously part of the plan.

The pats pass defense is much more dangerous then their run defense.

Mcvay's plan for this game was spot on - and the players executed it well enough on offense to get the job done.

The defense on the other hand dominated.

I put Ramsey on Kelce and help out the CB on Hill

sorry but Watson doesn’t really scare me and think Hill could do a decent job. Might get beat once but if we
Limit everyone else then we would have a great chance in that game
