Wren was a four-star recruit and first-team all-state pick from St. Louis but struggled to make an impact through his first four years with the Sun Devils. He redshirted his first year on campus, then played in just four games the following year (one tackle for loss). Wren started once as a sophomore, making 16 stops, six for loss, 1.5 sacks, and three pass breakups in 12 games. He had some productivity as a junior (21 tackles, three for loss, one interception), though he could only break into the starting lineup in three games despite his athleticism and large frame. Wren began disrupting plays more regularly as a 13-game starter in 2018, posting 43 tackles, 4.5 for loss, one sack, and two pass breakups to earn honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors.

Overview
Enticing prospect offering size, strength and athleticism to entice NFL general managers who covet elite traits over college production. Wren's play was uneven while aligned on the nose in 2018, but he should benefit from a move to defensive tackle in an odd or even front as a pro. The cheat code in unlocking his ability and production might rest in a team's ability to correct his hands and feet while improving recognition. With all things considered, "boom or bust" might be an appropriate tag for him.

The Detroit Lions select

Isaac Nauta, Tight End, Georgia

Nauta is a physically gifted player who was not used nearly enough by Georgia. Nauta has shown that he has strong hands and can make plays when he gets a chance with the ball. He has good size and his speed for his size is impressive as well.

He has shown the ability to improvise as well, specifically when he picked up a Jake Fromm fumble early this season and took it to the house. He also showed good speed then too, going from a standstill to full speed for a touchdown from about 20-30 yards out.

Nauta would give the Lions a good tight end that is solid in all aspects of the game from run blocking to catching the football.
