It was a great win, guys.. Since the Packers choked, who do we play? The winner of Frisco / Philadelphia?

I don't like the Bears matchup for us. At all. Worst matchup I think in the playoffs for the Rams. So not only does SF need to lose, but they need to fuckin lose.
I have not been so pissed off after a win in years. This game should have been won by 3 TDs.
Stafford NOT running for the 1st down on the 4th down play near the goal line right before halftime was huge. Run it, get the TD and have the ball at the start of the 3rd.
Coach, this is the playoffs, early on you take the points and we gave up 6 of them going for it on 4th down. The end of the game would have been a whole lot different.
There were some play calls that made me scream. How about on 3rd and 8 you just throw a 10 yard easy pass. Instead of going over the top for the TD attempt to Adams. and punt He was going against the odds for the kill. Just keep the drive going coach and we win big.
Puka drop hurt, a lot.
Stafford, even in not his best game, has giant balls.
Weird and frustrating game, but I will take the win. It does not make me feel a whole lot better about the next game.
Something is holding this team back. Its like McVay is over thinking things. Its like he is going for the kill on these hard plays that look great, just have to "execute" them. Easier said than done. When you can simply use easier plays just getting the 1st down and grind these lesser teams down. Dominate them.

I look like Sophia of the Golden Girls with a full head of grey hairs after this game.
There's a lot to bitch about. But the reality is that given the way this team played down the stretch this season they weren't gonna bat a thousand in the wildcard round. I knew this shit was gonna be ugly, because Carolina's offense has eyes and functioning brains and saw the same secondary we have seen. They knew they were in for a big night matchup-wise.
So I'm gonna take the win and enjoy the shit out of it. Also... That final drive by the offense was as good as it gets in the playoffs.
Lake returned but he and the secondary as a whole need to work some of those kinks out from him being gone. Still some room for them to play better as a unit, which we will need to advance next weekend.
We may get Dotson back next game. I think we need him to advance as well.
I would cut Ingle tomorrow morning for that whiff on the punt block.
That throw Stafford made to Puka in the first half must have broke the sound barrier dude. The trajectory was low as hell.
Young made some elite contain plays tonight for us. Gonna miss that when he leaves in FA because other than him our contain sucks ass.
The squandered drive end of the first half was terrible, but that fucking PI call to set up the Panthers score basically put them back in the game. You couldn't even see the ball. Unconscionable, and that's even acknowledging you need to be careful saying the player couldn't make the play as a ref. But that ball was uncatchable.
After that big sideline hit on Adams he was a different receiver. In a bad way. Dude is great, but the way to remove him is to lay a good fuckin stick on him.
Cred to the Panthers for playing so well in their first playoff game. I think they had enormous advantage outside the hash, but Young did a great job for them and they should be able to build around McMillan. Now they have a nice long offseason to plan all that.

I think it’s a real testament to the offense that they can play a C- game and still score 34 points on the road in the playoffs. I know Carolina isn’t exactly the ‘85 Bears but they match up well with us. They got big physical corners and some defensive linemen that can get after it. They forced Purdy into 4 picks earlier in the season. Good tune up for next week when we bring our true A game.

Curious to rewatch the game and see who got what snaps. It appeared Forbes wasn't out there late or maybe he just locked down his side. Witherspoon was back in there after the early injury but then didnt see him again.
A healthy Witherspoon and Williams are 10x better then Durant and Forbes.

Just about all our DBs got BBQd back there. Lake got smoked too at least a couple times. Tet is going to be a beast. Coker looked like he did an eightball pregame.
Again though I want nothing to do with Chicago. If we get them I may creatively get beers or make some sort of food every time they have the ball.
