I was at the game. There actually were about 8 Rams fans in my vicinity so it was good to have some celebratory ramily nearby.
The crowd fed the Panthers when they gained just a little momentum but 9 was unfazed by it all, especially on the final drive.
It was really windy and that may have affected some of the throws (one gust pulled the ball cap off my head). On both the Adams miss and the Nacua drop I thought for an instant a big play was developing only to be disappointed. I also think those near misses fueled the crowd and the team and gave them some momentum you could almost feel the change.
Some of those penalties were uncharacteristic and affected the momentum. The crowd hated the personal foul call on Adams and some of the fans got mouthy with us Ram fans about it.
I was on about the 25-yard line on the Rams side. The Nacua drop and the Parkinson catch both happened on my end fo the field, so I had a great view of both. Unlike the Nacua drop and Adams miss; I did not anticipate the big play that was about to unfold in front of me.
Side note: Interestingly the long pause game breaks are actually more tolerable at a live game than the commercial breaks while watching on TV.
The Panther fans were raucous right up to the Stafford soul stealing pass to Parkinson.
Glad I made the trip up from Raleigh. Overall great win!
