A wins a win for sure...... but Seattle isn't that good of a team.

But I have to point out the issues.... And the D only played average.

McScatterBrain looked like last years coach.... I was disappointed to see that, and especially his love affair with Corrum.

Totally agree on Mcvay confusing KW and BC, thinking they're the same player, they're not, and it's not really even close. Sure in a game where you're up by a couple of scores, yeah, run BC and give some rest to KW. But in big games, KW needs to be the featured back and it's really not up for debate. McVay seems to do this in big games, overthinks the approach rather than making sure his best players are on the field most of the time.

Not so sure that Seattle isn't that good of a team, we pinned them on the half yard line and they managed to almost put themselves in FG range to win the game. The game shouldn't have been that close but my hats off to Seattle's defense. They made stafford uncomfortable in the pocket making him rush throws and blew up a multitude of running plays. Not to mention the Rams shot themselves in the foot multiple times with stupid penalties, dropped passes, and boneheaded playcalling. If the Rams managed to score an additional FG or TD to put it up to two scores we'd all be singing a different tune, but honestly we couldn't get into FG range after the 2nd QT and that just wont win you many games.

Yes, I understand a change of pace, or if Kyren needs 5 mins. Mcvay is doing it in middle of Drives. I hate that shit. You kill Momentum that way. If Kyren is Killing them, Let him! If Corum goes on a slight run, Let him! Dont keep flip flopping them every damn 2 plays!
Yep.
I'm a big believer in the 'Dance with who brung ya' mentality when it come to skill the position players.
If either KW or BC is smokin' them ..... feed him until they stop it.
Same thing when Stafford is throwing the ball to a hot receiver.
I think that it gets into the player's heads on defense.

I don’t think anyone else has mentioned this. If our defender had delayed touching their player down, for less than a second, the clock would have run out with no time for a field goal! I believe it was Durant :-)

It so that’s going to get talked about in team meetings
The touch is not required if a player “gives himself up”.

IMO, McVay still has PTSD about Kyren fumbing the ball in big moments. Corum was elite in not fumbling in college. Outside of the miffed toss to him against Philly, he hasn't fumbled in NFL either.
That actually makes sense. Let's hope McVay has regained his trust in KW. He was ripping off big "explosive" :D plays until the 'Hawks D adjusted--like good teams do.

McVay looked exceptionally tight on the sidelines ... that tightness manifested across the offense from midway through the 2nd quarter on. Missed passes, dropped balls, whiffed blocks ... guys just weren't making plays they normally do and we still won.
Good post -- that makes sense. Gotta relax in situations like this one. Yes we had to have this win if we had any hopes of hosting them in the playoffs, so it's completely understandable, but you gotta pump the team up at times like this.

Yes, i simply did not understand that logic, playing our CB's far back as if the Hags even had time for a over the top pass? CB's should have been in press man period. There would have been no time for FG in that situation. WR catches it and the tackle itself takes over a second and zeros on the clock. Baffles me that our defensive coordinator couldn't realize that.
If the FG was good, it was a mistake, since it missed they played it right I guess
Win is a win but dayum I agree with you that it seemed they could have played it "smarter"

Alright. Enough already. Read the rules of the board before going on. And if you can’t figure it out from the rules, move on.

I know why you don't like me and I know it has nothing to do with football.

..........still trying to figure out why my below post is so offending to you or to anyone.... see below ?????

I get it being a moderator is a thankless job and appreciate the amount of work it takes, but going after a member because of my political views on another football forum, and making me be punished for it over here is just immature..... and I'm hardly a pillar of maturity.

Feel free to ban me..... I'll move on....

Thank you to the really cool members here (which is 99.9% of you).... :thumbsup1:

I have never read what you post on some other board. So there’s that.

I suggest you reread what you posted and then READ THE RULES OF THE BOARD. If you can’t figure it out from there, I can’t help you.

It's mainly because of the part that I capitalized and underlined. We don't insult our team - players, coaches, front office, even the cheerleaders and mascot - here. This is a board made by homers for homers. I know that some of us tend to forget that on game day, but overall, we are a positive board, and maybe you didn't read that part.

I'm sorry that you didn't stop to learn, but I'll wish you well in your future endeavors that aren't in here.

A win is a win and that's what the record says. Counter to some other's opinions, we like the midnight mode!!

3 of 4 TEs whiffed on Blocks, only one I didn't see was Ferg whiffing
I saw Ferg play but was only in to Block, did anyone see him go out for a pass?

That D Coordinator from Baltimore has an aggressive style I love.

Seems like we are defaulting back to the Raheem bend don't break defense with limited blitzes and heavy soft zones.

But hard to argue against a 4int day and keeping them at 19 points.
I have a lot of shit I want to grumble about in this win. But yes. You simply cannot argue with the win. I will always take the win, no matter how ugly it might be. This one though certainly does test that philosophy. :laugh3:

I don't think they will do that, but they need to stop with alternating Williams & Corum. Williams had 12 rushes for 91 yards and the Rams should have kept that going. Major difference between the two is, when teams stuff the Run, Williams gains two yards and Corum loses 3. Big difference between 2nd and 8 vs 2 and 13.

The 3 runs from the one yard line was an excellent example, Corum gets stuffed and on 4th down, they bring in Williams and he scores. Enough, I don't mind keeping Williams fresh, but you don't need that much of Corum to do so IMO.
The difference in the two was so marked that I find myself wondering if Corum has some sort of tell. Has to be Corum since he's the different element.

Maybe you should ask Grok?
@Grok why do Scots sound like the dwarves in Lord of the Rings?

Which is interesting in itself. I have to think they had TEs in so much in this game to try to slow that pass rush and not necessarily to catch the ball.

Priority one might have been keeping Stafford from getting killed.

Agree; and I thought the Seahawks' defenders had A LOT to do with some of the run-blocking struggles by the Rams' TEs and OL. Seattle has impressive size and athleticism on defense. Some of those guys Explode.

On several plays, Rams' TEs (Higbee, Parkinson and Allen) were unable to get into position to execute blocks.
On consecutive plays early in the game, Byron Murphy exploded by Kevin Dotson to blow-up inside runs.

When the Rams tried to move-up in the 1st round of the 2024 Draft, their reported targets were Brock Bowers and Byron Murphy.

AND ... we don't personally insult ROD members ... with a few specific exceptions ... like @Loyal

Right, forgot that. Agreed, us talking on this site is like shooting the shit at a bar over drinks, watching our favorite teams play. Yeah, we give each other shit for our quirks, but it's all friendly and in good fun.

Simply put, it's about respect.

Stafford was kept clean for the most part. No sacks. Seattle has a very good pass rush so that's impressive. On the other side though, second game in a row our defense had no sacks. Seems like they aren't getting much pressure early in games and it gets better late. Still, its not like they're giving up a bunch of points. One TD is pretty darn good. And I think its because they were giving underneath stuff trying to make them use clock with a two score lead.

Let's at least evaluate Hunter with SOME carries. Ridiculous that Rivers is still the active 3rd RB.

I agree, but he's getting bounced around like a ping pong ball.

Corum lost weight to be quicker and IMO, he is adjusting to the new weight and how to distribute it accordingly. He is being knocked off his feet too easy and in college, that was one of his biggest strengths.
