Remember when we had a problem scoring when we were in the red zone?
Between Matthew Stafford with an assist by Davante Adams, I expect us to score - and a touchdown not just a field goal.

oh..wasnt just a stiff arm..Allen clearly had a handful of the defenders mask there..
When they put a different angle on it and slowed it down it looked like Allen was trying to rip the guy's head off.
It was pretty blatant.

Other than that I was really super impressed with our tight ends this game.
Critical third downs and catching long passes.

He didn't twist, though. That was the difference. I find it appalling that we get screwed both ways on a facemask penalty, when Allen didn't twist the defender's head, especially not to the degree that the Aints were doing to us (and not getting a single call for it).

Reffing was utterly shitty today, let's leave it at that.

There really isnt a hyphen in the word decanonize, alas...

Dammit! I knew it was one word. My bad.

Mods! We need a thread-title correction!

Good ame all around. The Rams are loaded with solid TEs. Ferguson will become a big weapon. We wondered about the usage of 12 personnel; now defenses have to worry about 13 personnel.
Davis Allen really showing some stuff.
Colby Parkinson showing he's going to stick around and Higbee looking like he hears footsteps and he wants another ring as well.

The timing between Adams and Stafford seems to have been worked out. Those end zone throws seemed forced the first few games and ended up being FGs instead of TDs.

Not anymore. 5 TDs in 2 games.
Now we’re cooking.

Edit:
As for the TEs, they are becoming a deadly group. I used to always complain about how an offensive player could grab a facemask during a stiff arm but a defender would always get called if HE did it. They called it today on Allen. Lol. That’s ok. Allen is an easy guy to root for. He’s constantly improving and deserves more targets in the red zone.

Its there for us the next two weeks. Beat SF and Seattle we give ourselves a little separation.
I love it. We control our own destiny.
Just hope the Commodes can do their thing tonight.

Ha! I beat the autocorrect. :)

Bwahahahaha

Appears the new evolution of the McVay offense is here. Higbee, Allen, Ferg - all are competent weapons in the passing game. 13 personnel to be sprinkled in. Eventually, he'll expand the passing attack out of that formation.

Fergz & Allen will soon be 1 & 2 is my guess with another youngster added to the mix.
higbee is getting older and we may want to save some $ on Parkinson who has been really good this year
I asked this in the Trade Deadline thread

anyone think McVay was showcasing his TEs today as trade bait?

I like the nasty Allen is developing, needs to keep his hand open on the facemask which the coaches will point out

I'm glad we won convincingly. But does anyone fear we're going to lose in the playoffs or other crucial games because the Rams can't count on the FG team to even make short FG's?
