Banks and Akers?

Now it's starting to hurt.
If those hurt, you may have a rough day.

For example, the D-Line (not counting edge-rushers). Figure 6 or a max 7.

Donald, Robinson, Joseph-Day, Gaines and the two Brown rookies. That's 6; and that could be it.

I was guessing that the Rams may hold-on-to one of the four DL that spent most or all of last season on the Practice Squad (Banks, Copeland, Hoecht and Williams). Just one would make seven DL.

I liked Banks but I like Williams and Hoecht more. I don't see how both make the final-53.

At WR, figure six players. I liked Akers too, and hope he is on the Practice Squad but there was no way he could make the 53. Also do not see how Koski can either. And it's Trishton Jackson or Ben Skowronek ... but probably not both.

Injured Reserve could make some tough decisions easier.

Any information on rookie DT Bobby Brown's knee status? If Brown's knee is unhealthy along with his other earlier injury ......Ram might need to go with 7 DL'ers?

Would think that with the DL having 2 players Robinson & Bobby Brown gimpy with knee injuries with Robinson a very good prospect to be IR'd.

5th rd 2021 draft pick DE Ernest Brown did NOT outperform DT Mike Hoecht & DE Jonah Williams. Was not even close.

So I'm kind of joking, but also kind of serious.... Could this be because our emergency QB3 may be getting cut today...

There are too many teams with shit at qb2. Think the Cowturds wouldn’t love to have this guy as a their backup? It makes too much sense to keep him on the 53.

Not a fan of Perkins with that arm. Just not an NFL level arm.

maybe we have enough guys going to IR for now that it works. And he goes to PS in a few weeks when guys come off IR.

Meh he isn’t going to make us better. I’d rather have another player who actually contributes.

I also think a lot of the arm complaints will change with more knowledge of the system. He was late with a lot of throws because of it.

I was not impressed, especially the last game. He’s elusive but depends on that too much. His throws were soft and late. I know he was not with the 1s but that isn’t going to help his throws.
He didn't play well vs Den, but its only 1 game, and we don't know how he looks in practice. He's still very raw, a udfa who basically did nothing last season in terms of practice, he can still develop. Not a bad risk imo.

Any player likely to take the 53rd roster spot instead of him is just as likely to be inactive on game days just like Perkins. In the COVID world it’s so much smarter to have a QB3 that a WR6 or DL6 for example.

I would think that our #2 QB availability status as of late last season & what occurred to him in preseason......along with the fact the Rams now have a veteran QB who has had a lot of past injuries.......If I were Snead I would keep Perkins as my 3rd QB too over soft turnstile OL'er Bobby Evans anytime.

I wouldn't have kept Perkins - If we need him, the season is lost anyways. We probably would be better suited to save the roster spot for another position.

Tough call, ball floats on him, but sometimes people feel too strongly about certain positions. Also Jourdan reported "Initial" roster, if they claim someone, they might release him too, figuring that way, he's has a better chance of slipping through waivers once rosters are set.

Yeah, I would have cut him and put him on the PS. I just don't see him being a number 2 for any team right now. waste of a roster spot.

Well the Denver game is the only one he didn’t play against a bunch of scrubs.

Yeah it’s funny, fans of other teams including Denver fans seemed to be very impressed with him.
