Do you know the difference between Kickoff Returns and Punt Returns?
Haydel was the most successful of the 3 guys who handled Kickoffs this pre-season, Calais is obviously out of action and I imagine Otis will be released shortly. Which leaves 0 Kickoff returns in pre-season
Tutu will return punts
Well I think I smell a little Funk starting up around around town.

The announcer at the Rams vs Broncos said that when the season starts, Kupp will be the kick returner.
So much for my risk aversion theory.
Maybe they also dont know the difference between punt and kickoff returns? Lol
When has Kupp ever returned KO's?
Strange times indeed

Seriously? Rams would be pretty insane to have Kupp as KR. Do you recall which announcer said this? I saw the broadcast with Andrew Siciliano, Mina Kimes, and Aqib Talib, and I don't recall any one of those 3 mentioning anything about Kupp as KR.

Note that going to 7 is the key here. Our starting 5 then Boom and Anchrum, if you compare to most lines out there I think Boom and Anchrum compare very, very well. And I'm not a big fan of Boom. I think he's only a LT and a weak one at that, but he's still better than the LT2 on most rosters. And Anchrum compared to the 7 around the league, well some think he sucks because of last weekend but I don't share that view, I think the body of his work this preseason speaks for itself and he's probably better than most guys at 7 on depth lists.

Might be that I'm wrong on Anchrum. But I see a lot of good with him.
I do think Anchrum has the potential. My point is he is still very raw if we called on him on Sundays. It freaks me out a little if for example Corbett went down. But yes, I agree he shows the potential to be a solid backup and possible starter. I saw some very rough moments in preseason but his feet and ability to stonewall guys with good technique does show up on film.

The boy who called BS. So often it’s lost it’s !!!! Value
Only if it’s not true. I’ve been wrong no doubt. So you think The Rams offensive line depth is worst than years past ? I call BS to that.small font if that helps

The report was erronous, they both were good announcers, but they had that report wrong. He probably went on the Ourlads site, which showcases Kupp as the punt returner. @Elmgrovegnome knows that's not correct and IMO, I believe it could be Atwell doing both PR/KR or Jake Funk might return kicks too, which I'm hoping does not happen because that is how he was injured both times.

You know I HATED Cooper Kupp as The Rams PR guy last season. Thought is was the worst move Sean Mcvay made early in the season.
Told CGI about it & I believe he agreed Kupp should not be returning punts.

—Sean Mcvay said middle of Training Camp after BubbaRam had seen him taking punts, that Copper Kupp would Not be returning punts .

I also think DeSean Jackson might be a Ram who will be on the PR list in certain situations.

Agree - I actually think HENDO returned a couple Kicks as a Ram?
Would Sony be a option ? Funk I think is the logical answer as of right now from what I’ve seen though.
I really never made it to camp early though to have a better opinion.BubbaRam was taking notes.

I agree on Anchrum. I think he can be a steady guy if called upon.
And I was watching Evans extensively versus the Broncos and he looked, *better*.

One thing I can say, (and this isn't a whole lot) but at least he doesn't draw a lot of penalties and seems to know the snap count.

Fake News - report just in. I’m calm, but I do think your putting to much inference into the game film.
Kevin O’Connell talks about game calming & seeing how players react. There is a lot more to it than just watching the game.

—I did watch the first play.actually 2 when Bobby Evans got blown up by Denver’s DT. He went back like 5 yards right from the start. Though he settled in better.
You could be totally right though. We’ll see,I just see your post & question a couple of your opinions. The Rams depth is one of them vs other seasons. Think your way off there.

Everyone from last season is coming back.Brian Allen was out all 2020,so I don’t know how much you’ve seen from him? Austin Blythe I thought was ok,but O’Connell thinks Brian Allen is starting to take things to another level. In 2019 I though The Rams were out of there minds not playing him & Noteboom in the preseason.
Say what you want,IMO The Rams backups have improved over the Off Season.
We all have opinions and I could be wrong. I was just giving you playful grief for using all Caps and exclamations and saying BS.

Don't take someone's opinion so personal. I honestly have zero bias towards Rams players. I just report what I see and if others take the same time to carefully review the game film, or watch the practices I respect that. If we differ on opinion that is totally fine, we should be able to discuss it without acting like someone pooped on our lawn.

You bring up a good point that there is more than what is on film. But on the same token the film reveals a whole lot of truth. It is the closest to a real game we will see. Some things in practice are not revealed until you go full man on man and get your ass beat.

Hopefully Evans is one of those guys that raises the level of his game depending on the competition.
He seemed to look a little better versus the Broncos starting defense.
It is a weird mentality some people have.

Subconsciously, he realize he's playing against second and third stringers and he doesn't put the needed effort in.
However, the second and third stringers he was playing against are trying to make the roster.

Just a theory I'm using to try to convince myself that he might be better than we think.

(And yes I just quoted myself above. You are not imagining things)

Hey as long as you don't start arguing with your previous post we should be good. :laugh1:
